Christmas Table Favors

A little late on this one, but these are the Santa hats full of chocolates that I made for everyone at our table. They were a huge hit. The candies were chocolate Santas. I used my cuttlebug and impressed the red cardstock with snowflakes. I cut the tag out with my cricut and stamped it with a stamp from Stamping Up. The bell was silver so I painted it white and when it was wet I rolled it in glitter. The brim of the hat is cut out of white glitter paper. The worst part was the red glitter ribbon. I squeezed it in the punched holes at the top and glitter went everywhere. More than that my table cloth was covered when everyone opened theirs. lol. The chocolates were a hit though.

Stamptacular Sunday Challenge - A Sketch

This week at Stamptacular Sunday Challenge we are following this sketch.

For my card I used Memory Boxes paper called Mistletoe. I used the most amazing stamp from MFT called Pure Innocence. It is called Flurries of Love. You can see it here and order this darling if you like.

I colored my image with my copics, and added glitter to the snow and the fur on her coat. I then used a new product that I found at our local Scrapfest show. The product is by Viva and is a pearl pen. You just dot it and let it dry and it looks like brads or pearls, whatever you want. I used it in Ivory for the snow. My flower is from Prima Flowers. I layered 2 and put a pearl from Martha Stewart in the middle. The lace I also picked up at the Scrapfest show.

Stamptacular Sunday Challenge - Hide and Seek

This week we are asking you to make a card or project that you can't see the sentiment at first. For my card I use one of my LOTV stamps. I colored it with my copics. My papers are Bo Bunny's A Gift Of Love Line. The colors are stunning for Christmas and this is definately the paper for my Christmas cards. I stamped my sentiment from of my Papertrey Christmas stamp sets. I attached it to elastic and secured it with a brad under my sentiment. I attached my mounted image overtop with a pop dots so it would be higher than the sentiment. I attached some ribbon to the tag so you can pull it out. I added some ribbon and a bow with a couple of Martha Stewart punches. I added some glitter to her fur.

Stamptacular Sunday Challenge - Grid Card

This week at Stamptacular Sunday Challenge we are looking for grid cards. This means that you can have a grid design anywhere on your card. It could be your paper, your ribbon, anything. We have the fabulous Simon Says as our sponsor this week. This is their fabulous prize:

There's tons of ways to achieve a grid pattern.

For my card I used some of Paper Trey's shimmer paper and put it into my score pal on an angle and scored diamonds on it. On the crosses of the grids I added pearls. For my card I stamped Paper Trey's Made Of Snow Stamp where you build your own snowman. I shaded him with my copics and used some light blue to stamp his scarf, which I pop dotted. I stamped the middle of the card with one of the sentiments from the same set.

I can't wait to see what you come up with for your grid card. Get creative as our design team has.

Lili Of The Valley #58 - A Sketch By Bev

Over at Lili Of The Valley this week, Challenge #58 is a sketch by Bev. Here is Bev's fabulous sketch.
I just couldn't wait to color up the most beautiful stamp I've seen in a long time. I colored up my little darling called "Christmas Candle". I'm so glad that I jumped on these images immediately because this one and many others are completely sold out. But don't fret, more stock is coming in. I colored my baby girl with my copics and added liquid glass on the fur around her face and the pom poms on her scarf. I added glitter to the top of the liquid glass and let it dry. What a great affect you can achieve. I added Martha Stewart snow to the ground to really give it some dimension. I mounted my image on white glitter paper. I created my snowflakes with a combination of Nestibilities snowflake dies and my Martha Stewart die. I added a Doodle Bug Glitter brad in the middle. My bow was created out of some sheer ribbon that I picked up somewhere and in the middle I punched out 2 greeneries with my Martha Stewart punch. I added flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts, and added clear glitter stickles to the petals on the flowers. The 3 red baubbles are from Stamping Bella.

My papers were from an amazing paper pack I bought from S.E.I. at Michaels called Winter's Song. I can't wait to get more cards done with some of the other designs papers in the pack.

For my creation I found this fabulous tutorial on how to make snowflakes. You can follow the tutorial HERE on You tube. It's actually very easy, and tons of fun. For my snowflakes I used what I think is Heidi Grace papers. I had trimmed off the label and can't find it. Geez. I stamped out my Juggling Penguins stamp from Elzybells. I colored him with my copics, and added puff paint for the snow balls and the pom pom on his hat. I then put some glitter on the puff paint, and some stickles on the snow. Finally I cut out a scalloped and mounted the penguin on it. I added rhinestones around te circle to finish it off with a final loop of sheer CTMH ribbon for the hanger.

Stamptacular Sunday Challenge #42/ Friendship in Black, Silver and White

Well there is a fun challenge this week at Stamptacular Sunday Challenge. This week we have to make a Friendship card with just black, silver and white. I have never been much of a monochrome person, but in the black tones was even harder. I searched through my stamps to find just the right image and here was my Elzybells Penguin Tree. I had never stamped this one before, so it was great fun to color it, and especially with my copics. YEAH!!! For this one I used some design paper I had laying around and mounted my image with glitter paper in black and white. I embossed the lights and christmas balls with silver embossing powder. I added glitter to their bellies to give them a shiney appearance. I added some Nicole Heady black polka dot ribbon, and added a snowflake die cut with a snowflake brad. My sentiment is from Stamping Bella.

For my card I used the beautiful Magnolia snowman that my good friend Christine from Dol Creations gave me for Christmas. I used my Derwents and Mineral Spirits to color him as I didn't have the mother load of Copics yet. I added puff paint to his fur on his hat, and tons of glitter. I used a beautiful paper from Australia by Kaiser Craft called "Wish Upon". It is all in the subdued pinks, greens, and blues. I took the picture of the card on the quilt that Christine kidnapped from my home and kindly finished for me for Christmas. It is all snowmen and that is what I matched this card to. Hope you enjoy and have fun with our sketch.

Friday Sketchers

This is another card I made 2 nights ago. I know Christmas is over, but my tree is still up and will be for another week. I love Christmas, and everything that goes with it. We have had nothing but snow nonstop for the past few days, so I used the wonderful winter wreath Magnolia stamp that my amazing friend Christine from Dol Creations put in my killer present she gave me for Christmas. I'm going to do up some more cards with the other stamps she got me as I can't wait until next winter to use them. She also snuck my quilt that I bought and had no time to sew out of my house via her co-criminal, my daughter, and sewed it together for me. I will include that in my next post.

For this card I used CTMH paper called Jingle. I colored my Tilda and wreath with my Derwent pencil crayons and mineral spirits. I added pink rhinestones to the snowflakes. The ribbon came in the paper pack and the snowflake charm is from my Design Team sister Piali from our secret sister gifts.

Stamptacular Sunday Challenge #39 - Snowtacular

This was my husbands Christmas card from me. He loves snow, and wishes to move farther north when he retires, (I haven't told him yet that he'll be doing that alone, lol). My image was one of my Plum Purdy snowman. The snowmen stamps they produce are absolutely the cutest snowmen. This one had snow on his hat, and I added snow onto his nose and scarf. For the base of my card and also the red nestibility I used the new glitter paper by Best Creation. I also added 2 colors of glitter to his scarf to match the paper. I colored the snowman with my Derwent pencil crayons and mineral spirits. I used my clear glitter on the snowballs and dripping snow at the top of his hat. I added some ribbon I found at Michaels and a beautiful snowflake brad. I placed the card in my tree for an added wintery feel. Hope you like it, I know hubby did.

Hanglar at Last

Well thank you, thank you, thank you, to a dear friend who did a very big favor for me. She gave me the opportunity to get my hands on some fabulous Hanglar stamps. You know who you are and your kindness is greatly appreciated. Well here she is, my first Hanglar. This one is holding a little quilted sampler, but I added the letters J O Y on them. I colored her with my Derwents to match this fabulous paper. I added some little baubles from Stamping Bella, and some ribbon from Michaels. I finished with a bow, and a Doodlebug glitter button, tied with some fine silver thread. Hope everyone is getting ready for the Holiday this week. Christmas With A Twist

This week at Stamptacular Sunday Challenge we are doing a challenge with a twist. We are looking for a card or project with a Christmas theme, but without using the traditional reds and greens. For my project I created a hot chocolate in a bag. It has everything you need, just add water. For my tag I used my Sugar Nellie stamp "Hug in a Mug". I bought it from Funky Kits. I colored with my Lyra pencil crayons and mineral spirits. I added Liquid Applique to the fur of her coat and glittered it. The sentiment is from MFT. I used my pink polka dot ribbon from Papertrey and added a pink and white snowflake brad in the middle. Our prize this week is from

Stamptacular Sunday Challenge - Let It Shine

This week at Stamptacular Sunday Challenge our challenge is to create a card with as much bling as you can add. I had fun with mine. I used my new Plum Purdy Snowglobe Santa. I just loved this image. I stamped it onto a little square called a Twinchie which you can purchase from Stamping Bella. These are awesome. They are thick squares that you can stamp on and color. I used my Derwent pencil crayons and blended with mineral spirits. I clipped the corners with a corner punch to match the roundness of the snow globe. (You have to push really hard, and please do it before you color incase it wreck it). Then I had some fun with it, I added liquid glass to give it a real snow globe look, and while that was still wet, I sprinkled glitter on it. It turned out really nice. I used some more of that paper pack that my good friend Christine from Dol Creations found at Michaels. The colors are just gorgeous in this pack, all blues and reds. I cut a strip of red plaid to look like ribbon, and mounted that onto red cardstock that I punched with my Martha Stewart Snowflake Boarder punch. I tied a bow with the beautiful white ribbon from Papertrey, and put a large snowflake brad in the middle. The word Joy is red metal stick on letters that I had purchased from Michaels previously.

Stamptacular Sunday Challenge #33 - Weave It

This week at Stamptacular Sunday Challenge we are asking that you incorporate weaving into your card or project. This was a hard one for me. It wasn't until my good friend Christine from Dol Creations suggested I weave the ribbon, nothing else would come to me. When she suggested that, the creative juices started running again. Thank you Christine. I intertwined my ribbon in a weaving pattern. I used some red baubles from Stamping Bella to put on the joints. The design paper is from a package that I bought at Michael's and the prints are so pretty. They're all in the reds and blue. I used my Vintage Picnic Basket stamp set from Papertrey. It is so versitile and can be used for any season or holiday as it comes with tons of different baskets, and tons of designs to put in them. I colored with my Derwents and used my mineral spirits to blend. Hope everyone is having a great weekend, and also hope my American neighbours are enjoying their Thanksgiving. Papertake Weekly - Christmas Crackers

I have finally had some time to play with my new Plum Purdy stamps. This one is called Snow Cream. I think he's adorable. I waited forever for them to come and when they finally came I had no time to stamp them. I used my nestabilities to cut them out. I added some glitter on the snow, and embellished with some pale teal pearls. Coloring was done with my Derwents and mineral spirits. Papertake Weekly has a challenge this week called Christmas Crackers. It is an open Chritmas card challenge, so my Plum Purdy card suits this challenge perfectly.

Cards For Sale

Well now you can see what I've been busy doing. I had placed a large order from Nicole Heady's Papertrey store, and after getting everything to make these beautiful cards, I decided that they were just a bit plain for me. So I've spent the past 2 weeks off and on working on putting together as many packages as I can to sell to my bowling girls tomorrow. I have 10 cards in each package with 5 Santa's and 5 Snowman in each. I then used my Martha Stewart snowflake boarder punch and punched the flap of the envelope. This leaves plenty of glue left for adhering. Then I stamped some Close to My Heart white ribbon that I had bought in bulk with a minature snowflake punch dabbed into Martha Stewart's red ink. I hope they look presentable, I'm trying for $15.00 for 10 cards. I think that's pretty fair. I will certainly help cover my costs. Hope you enjoy your day today.

Cute Card Thursday Challenge #86 - Glitter Me Silly / Stamping Bella - Wild Card

Well here's the unvailing of my Christmas Cards for everyone. I found this little image from Stamping Bella called Snowfight. I saw a card done by a few of the Bella DT members and fell totally in love with it. Isn't she to die for. I also fell in love with the paper by Basic Grey called Eskimo Kisses. This particular pattern from the set, Village, is very hard to find, and I don't think there's a store within a 50 Km radius of my house that has any left. LOL. I am now on the hunt for more as I don't have enough to make all my Christmas cards. UGH! I colored my image with 2 colors, peach and the teal. I used puff paint on the fur of her snowsuit and sprinkled it with glitter before puffing it. This makes the glitter adhear to it better. I used some Martha Stewart Snow and glued it onto the bottom to give it some dimension. I found a matching ribbon and ran it down the side. I have found this amazing glitter paper, not sure who makes it, but it's completely covered in glitter. I used my large snowflake punch and punched out a snowflake. I put a teal sugar coated brad from Doodlebug in the middle. Hope everyone likes it, and acts surprised when they get it. I'm off to a scrapbooking retreat this weekend so this is why there've been few post from me lately. I've been cutting and stamping like crazy for the past week or so. All this hard work will mean that I just have to sit and glue all weekend. I should come back with at least 120 christmas cards done. I'll share on Monday,

Stamptacular Sunday Challenge #32 - A Sketch

This week at Stamptacular Sunday Challenge we have a sketch to follow. This was a really tough one for me. I had to really think out of the box. Here's our sketch:I rotated the sketch and made it look like Christmas Ornaments that were hanging. I love some of the design teams cards that they have produced. I wish I'd had them before me to get my Mojo rolling. I used some Basic Grey paper that I had with the same shaped ornaments on it, and colored with my Derwents and mineral spirits to match. Some Christmas Cards

Well I was so taken with Nicole Heady's October release that I had to order everything needed to make these wonderful cards. The stamp set is called "Holiday Button Bits". It is perfectly made so you can incorporate buttons into your cards. I just loved these 2, so I had to make them up right away. I stamped my swirls on the Santa card with my Great Impressions background stamp of winter swirls using my Versa Mark stamp pad, and then glittered some of them. I used my Tombow markers to color Santa and the Snowman so I could achieve good, rich colors. Every other product is from Papertrey. Hope the weather is great for you all this Tuesday.

Cute Card Thursday Challenge #84 - Midnight Margaritas

Well a dismal Monday here in Ontario. We had some sun this afternoon, but it didn't last too long. It is now 4:30, and starting to look more like 6:30. Our temperature has been dropping, so it sure seems like a great week for a warm fire, and a Margarita. This is my card for Cute Card Thursday's weekly challenge. This week it's Midnight Margaritas. Now that Halloween is over I am totally in Christmas mode. I begged hubby to put up the lights on the weekend past, but he's in put away the fall stuff mode. UGH. I just took down all the Halloween decorations, and believe me I had a lot up, and was asking him to get down the Christmas tree. I could make Christmas last all winter. Here is my entry into Cute Card Thursday. I used one of the fabulous Stamping Bella stamps "Christmatini" I used some holiday paper I had downstairs, colored my image with my Derwents and mineral spirits, accented with a couple of bobbles from Stamping Bella and tied it with some lime green polka dot ribbon. I used some red glitter to color the swirls on the ball. Have a great day, and I hope it's warmer where you are.
