Sugar Bowl Challenge #14

Here is my Sugar Bowl Challenge for the week. This was a fun one as it was to follow a sketch by Judy, however you were supposed to include some sparkle, glitz, shimmer, glitter, etc. You get the drift. Well that was no problem over here as G.G #2 (Glitter Girl #2) was my nickname at a recent scrapbooking retreat. Well for this card I used Shimmer Blue Cardstock, Glittered Pattern Paper, Foil Backed Rhinestones from Stamping Bella, and tons of glitter. I used the Sugar Nellie Stamp called Reflective. For this image I tried something a little different. I colored the sky area with a medium blue and used my mineral spirits to blend it. I wanted her to look like she was standing on a ridge looking down into the valley. Hope it looks like that to you.

Winter Wonderland Week #4-I'm dreaming of a blue Christmas

Well I finally got to color my little Snowflake from Sugar Nellie. I fell in love with her when I first saw her. I finally bit the bullet and ordered her. She seemed so fitting for the blue Christmas Challenge. I could also envision her in a beautiful hunter green crush velvet coat with white fur. Oh what you could do with her. She is so very charming. I used my Lyra pencil crayons and the mineral spirits to achieve a soft look.

Sugar Bowl Challenge #11

Well I know I haven't posted for a week, and I'm very sorry to my friends for being preoccupied. I was busy helping a friend move, and have been swamped with the wifey do list. I have many images colored, just haven't had the time to go down and lock myself in the inspiration room. So here's my Sugar Bowl Challenge for the week. The image is Sugar Nellie's Demure. I think she is so wispfull. She reminds me of my Precious Moments Collection. Unfortunately I was late in sending out my challenge. It was done last night. Note to self.... Check entry times more carefully. Well I hope you my friends enjoy it anyway.
