Lily Of The Valley Challenge - A Sketch

Today I finally got some time to play with my baby Lily Of The Valleys. I love these little darlings. This is the Baby Girl stamp that I bought. I enjoyed coloring them so much. I decided to color them with my Derwent pencil crayons and mineral spirits. I haven't pulled them out for a little while, and it was fun to get into them again, but I sure missed my copics and the brightness that they give. I used some old paper that I had won at a crop and it doesn't have any name on it, sorry. I added some Prima flowers and Magnolia rosebuds. I twirled the leftover metal from the flowers into little swirls and added them on. I put a pink rhinestone on the wheels and one on her bow and she was all done. I hope you like it, I sure enjoyed making it. I'm entering it into the Lily Of The Valley challenge which is this fabulous sketch.

Stamptaculuar Sunday Challenge - Buttons and Bows

Isn't this going to be a fun challenge. Who doesn't love buttons and bows. We would love to see what you can create with them. Our design team came up with some great cards and projects. For my card this week I used another of my amazing Lily Of The Valley stamps. This little guy is called Baby Blanket. I'm going to start doing more cards that I can send off here. I always seem to need baby cards, and lately all boy ones. So I created this little guy, which I'm sure will be gone soon, as they all seem to be having boys. I used my nestibilities to cut him out and used the fabulous paper line from Bella Blvd. called Skipping Stones. I added the most amazing ribbon from Nicole Heady's Paper Trey and put a button in the middle with a soother charm that I got from Stamping Bella. The buttons were just random ones I had burried in the stash. I added embroidery thread to the buttons, yellow on the blue buttons and blue on the yellow buttons. Of course he was colored with my copics.

I hope everyone has been having a safe summer, with lots of hot weather like we've been experiencing in Canada. This is the most I've used my air conditioning ever, and the most use I've ever gotten out of my pool. Usually by now the nights are so cool that the days can't heat it up enough. I couldn't have had a better summer.

A Baby Boy Hanglar Stanglar

Well here is my little boy all done up. I used the same paper pack for him as I did for the little girl one on the post below. Colored him with my copics. I found some glitter paper in a matching green and cut out the template with my Nesties. My tag is home made with a sugar coated brad from Doodle Bug. My sentiment is again from My Sentiments Exactly, and the buttons are from Papertrey. Let's not forget the glitter, anywhere I could put it. LOL. My little man is going into the following challenges:

Isn't the sketch great. Well I'm drained for today, all afternoon in the inspiration room making a couple of cards just wipes one out. I'm trying to get enough energy to have a quick swim with the little one before bed, but really just want to curl up on the couch and sleep.

For my card I used a gorgeous stamp. He's a little Hanglar Stanglar clown on a moon. I thought right away about making a perfect baby boy card. I used paper from a S.E.I. paper pack I had bought previously to us in my kids baby books. The paper is from the Chick a Doo collection. I added Bo Bunny dots to the card as well. I colored with my copics, added some glitter to the star, and placed some sheer ribbon across with a little button and there it was.

Baby Cards

I am really not one for shaped cards, however when I was on my Scrapbooking retreat 2 weekends ago, one of my friends was making these cards for her neice's baby shower. I just fell in love with them. I had to make them. I did 2, one in blue and one in pink. Well that started the bug going and before long most of the 18 women there were all making one, some were even making 25 of 4 different colors. I thought they'd be great for invitations to a baby shower, thank you cards for the mom to be, or even baby gift cards. I ordered everything needed to make more. I just followed a template that Diane told me was on Splitcoast Stampers for a onesies card. Then it was stamped with a stamp set that is retired from Stampin' Up. My next venture is to find this stamp set. You use the 1 3/8's circle punch from stampin' Up and also their scalloped punch. The baby stamp in the middle is also part of that retired set, and has been stamped twice, cut out and pop dotted to raise it up. I garnished with a few beads from Stamping Bella and voila. Isn't it adorable. Just had to share these little darling cards.

Whiff Of Joy Challenge #45 Bling / Cute Card Thursday Challenge#75 New Beginnings

Well my deep apologies to my fantastic followers who hung on while I found my umph. I did not loose my Mojo as seems to have happened to my some of my blogger friends. I just took a couple of days off to take the kids to Ohio to Cedar Point Amusement Park, and when I got back I just couldn't get my umph going to get back to card making. Then the worst thing happened. I started reading the 2nd book in the Twillight series. OMG, I couldn't stop reading. I never read like that, but over 500 pages in a week. I bought the 3rd one, and it's sitting on my counter calling me, but I promised myself that until I got a few cards done, I wasn't touching it. LOL. So here's my little card that I came up with. Whiff of Joy's Challenge this week is to use as much bling as possible. I added little pink rhinestone flowers to her hair, and glittered the baby's blanket. I wasn't sure that was enough bling so I edged my new Nestability template with glitter and added a flower rhinestone on either side of my new Nestability tag. I tried to do the grass technic that I learned from the UBER TALENTED Paula Tracy on Monday of last week. See Paula, this one doesn't look like she's on the edge of a swamp. LOL. I finished it off with another technic of Paula's sponging the color of ink called Wheat around the edges to soften it. Love how it turned out. For Cute Card Thursday their challenge this week was for a New Beginnings card. This card and stamp was perfect for it. I have had 3 neices in the last year have their first babies, and I have a nephew trying to start a family. This card will come in handy. I colored with my lyra pencil crayons and mineral spirits, and my sentiment is from My Sentaments Exactly. It's from my baby collection. Sorry for the lull in cards, but I am back now.

Whiff Of Joy Challenge #43/Pink and Brown

This is my card for the Whiff of Joy Challenge. You were asked to do a card in Pink and Brown. No problem over here. I used my Willow with Toddler stamp and colored them in pinks and browns with a touch of green with my Lyra pencil crayons and mineral spirits. I used my Nestibilities to cut my image and also to matt it. I used my Martha Stewart Lace Boarder Punch to matt my ribbon. I embellished with a bow and a soother charm purchased at Stamping Bella. I finalized my card with a daisy from Martha Stewart and some greenery punched out with a Martha Stewart punch. Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. Beautiful and sunny here in Ontario, Canada. Perfect for hubby's surprise 50th today.

Stamping Bella Challenge

Here is my card for this weeks Stamping Bella Challenge. You had to follow the sketch by Linda. It was a fun one. I used the new glitter powder to do my star, and where all the little flowers were on the babies blanket, I put on little pink flowered rhinestones. I even cut some to put on the edges. I was able to use a couple of my Spellbinders Nestibilities. Happy Friday to everyone, and lets pray for some sun on the weekend.

Whiff Of Joy Challenge #39

Well this card was done for the Whiff of Joy challenge. I had a heck of a time getting this one together. It required paper piercing. This is my first time attempting it, and it was a bit tricky I have to say. I cut my corners out with a punch and paper pierced the corner pieces. It was difficult to make sure you pierce far enough away from the edge, and also to keep your paper from bending. I used the swing from Magnolia to sit my little pregnant lady on. I used a glitter pen to outline the swirls on her dress and her pearls to give them a bit of a glimmer.

Whiff Of Joy Challenge #38

Here is my entry into the Whiff Of Joy Challenge. I love this image. She is so lovely holding her little baby girl. I used paper from an old baby girl paper pack I purchased many moons ago. The Sentiment if from a company called My Sentiments Exactly, and is all about babies. I just love this saying because it's what my Dad used to say to me all the time. Hope you enjoy.

Here is a Stamping Bella stamp that I just had to have. It's my pregnant little MaMa. I had to add the little baby bottle from, you guessed it, Stamping Bella. Just a simple baby card for a shower.

Here's my Bella entry for the week. Man it was a tight one, had to be in by 5:00 pm today. I got mine to Emily at 4:55. Was just in time, thank goodness for technology. You could use any color in the rainbow, but must have a flower on it. I of course stick with the usual favorites, pinks and purples. Someone better have a baby soon, I'm getting too many cards here. LOL.

Well here is baby Jayden's baby sister Bella. Is she not the cutest little bundle you've ever seen. I glittered up her little diaper. She is just to die for. Thanks to Whipper Snappers for making two adorable stamps.

Here is my precious little Jayden. I love this little guy so very much. I decided to go back to a simple card. Hope you love him as much as I do.
