Cute Card Thursday - Anything Goes/Papertake Weekly -Bingo/Crazy 4 Challenges - Green/ Stampingbella - Green

Well I finally have gotten around to making a card for my beautiful daughter's 21st birthday. I can't believe that she is now legal, world wide to have a cocktail. It's amazing how old it can make you feel, lol. For her card I used Mo Manning's image Angelina. I colored her with my copics. I used tons of green as it is my big girl's favorite color. My paper is from CTMH and is one of their beautiful lines called "Sophia". I just love the prints and colors. The date stamp is CTMH's Stamp of The Month for November called "Cherish The Day. You stamp it out, create a ticket, then in the circle put the date of the month that you want to use. My daughter's birthday was March 4th, so the 4 went in the hole. It is a great set that can be used for anything that you want to personalize with a date.

Stamptacular Sunday Challenge - A Sketch

This week at Stamptacular Sunday Challenge we have a sketch for you to follow. It is a great design and this is what we're looking for:



For my card I used a plaid design paper by Little Yellow Bicycle called Baby Safari 2, and the orange design paper is Jackson Lodge Sparks. My stamp is called Ethan Lollipop and is available from the fabulous Stamping Bella. My sentiment is from My Sentiments Exactly. I colored my Ethan with my copics and added some blue rick rack. I just added some of the papers on the inside and finished it with a verse from the same sentiment pack from MSE.

A Spoon Full Of Sugar Challenge - Birthday's / Papertake Weekly - Dawny P's Sketch

Well TGIF to everyone today. I finally have time to put together some cards with some of my new images. This one is Charlotte! Isn't she just darling. I am such a huge Tim Burton fan, when I saw this image and how she had dolls with buttons for eyes, I just about died. I had to have this image as she's my little Coraline. Coraline is a recent Tim Burton movie with a little girl who finds a make believe family that pays attention to her more than her very busy parents. Only problem is, to stay, she has to let the mom sew buttons on her eyes. (Purely a Tim Burton cartoon). These dolls are my little Coraline's. I colored them with copics and used my Crate Paper Paper Doll Collection to put it all together. The sentiment is for my little one who I always call Dollface. I'm going to put this card away until her birthday in August and have one done for her already. I just typed the sentiment out on the computer and printed it on card stock.

Well today seems to be a nice one outside so I'm off to get some more images colored up and some more posts done. Then on to my graduation gift books that I'm doing for my 3 kids that are graduation this year, two from high school, and one from public school. Hope you have a great day.

Another Birthday Card

Here's another of Austin's 14th birthday cards. For this one I used Crate Paper's Orbit Collection. It is just so boyish, with some great colors in it. On the inside of my card I just covered it with light blue Bazzil cardstock and added the goop punch from Martha Stewart in a simmery blue on the top. I stamped it with a sentiment from My Sentiments Exactly, Birthday collection. On the outside of my card I kept it simple as I really wanted to show the Orbit paper and not cover it up too much. I punched a whole with my tags punch from Nestibilities and stamped the sentiment in a rusty red colored ink. This sentiment is also from the same MSE Birthday set. I used the robot stamps from Stamping Bella. They're called Giga Watt, Kilo Watt and Cakey Watt. Aren't they darling and so perfect for a boy's card. Of course there's glitter here and there to make them shiney robots. Well hope you have a wonderful day. My third birthday card will be shown with an upcoming Stamptacular Sunday Challenge. I hope to have a few more cards done today as I've had such a busy week.

A Spoon Full Of Sugar - One For The Boys

Well over at A Spoon Full Of Sugar they have a challenge called "One For The Boys". I am showing you the last of the 3 cards I made for my son's 18th birthday on Saturday passed.

For this card I used Basic Grey's Lime Rickey paper. I mounted all my sections with random colors of cardstock to match the colors in the Lime Rickey paper. I used an image from the fabulous Emily at Stamping Bella, called SK8R Boy. I colored him with my copics, and cut him out and the mat with one of my Nestibilities. I used some rhinestones I had laying around on the sentiment, but on the image I used some blue baubles for the wheels and around the edges.

On the inside of the card I use the goop punch from Martha Stewart and cut out a co-ordinating paper from the Lime Rickey collection and had it drooping down. Again the sentiment is from Stamping Bella.

We're looking at rain for the next few days with a lovely weekend ahead. I'm off to the ole' Inspiration Room tomorrow for some more creating.

Friday Sketchers #96

Well today is my boy's 18th birthday. I managed to get 3 cards done for him. This card I made to enter the Friday Sketchers Challenge of this fabulous sketch:


For this card I used some beautiful paper from 3 Bugs in a Rug called Snips and Snails. It is in great colors and fabulous designes.

I used Stamping Bella's stamp called Dylan Lollipop. I bought him just for my boy's birthdays that are both in April. He comes with a sentiment that says You're so cool. I didn't use that one though, but used another Stamping Bella sentiment Happy Birthday. I made this card simple as I didn't want to poof poof it up too much for a boy. I used some polka dot green ribbon that I had bought at Michaels and a small bow, just to spruce it up.

Happy 18th Chase, you make me proud of all your hard work.

Stamptacular Sunday Challenge - A Sketch

This week at Stamptacular Sunday Challenge we have an easy peasy sketch. Everyone loves a sketch. For mine I used my little Tilda from the Valentine collection. I used an old fence stamp from Magnolia as well. I colored with my Copics, and created the clouds on the background with inks.
I used my basic grey pattern paper - Origin. It has such great greens and yellows. My daughter's favorite color is green, and as I told you last week, I went on a cruise with her for her 19th birthday. We celebrated with some cake and a couple small gifts as the cruise was her present for her next 40 birthdays, LOL. Just kidding. My sentiment is from My Sentiments Exactly. This is Sarah's birthday card from Mom and Dad.
Our prize this week is from our very own Aud Kirsten. This is what she donated:A beautiful stamp and some Bling!!!

Happy 19th Sarah - The Sweet Shop Sketch Challenge Blog

Well today I am in Aruba. By now, I'm either very tanned, or very burned, but I can sure guarantee you that I am very broke. LOL. I made this card before I left so my daughter could have a card to open on her actual birthday. This one is from her brothers and sister. I used my darling CC Designs. I colored them with my copics to match this fantastic paper from Imaginisce called Twinkle Twirls. Doesn't that name sound delicious? I stamped out some Greeting Farm flowers and colored them to match also. Then I colored the CC Design Bench for her to sit on. I used the sketch from The Sweet Shop Sketch Challenge Blog as my guide. I added a trim of Tulips, my favorite flower, and some fabulous Rhinestones from Stamping Bella. On the inside I used a die cut from Quikcuts called cake. I am a huge Alice In Wonderland fanatic, and man did this cake remind me of the Mad Hatter's tea party. I added that in the middle and mounted it so her brothers and sister could sign it. I'm sure she will be having a fantastic time on her birthday as who couldn't in Aruba. See you all Sunday.

Paper Pleating

This week at Just Magnolia they have a different challenge. They want you to try your hand at paper pleating. Stamp for Fun wants cards done with snowflakes this week. I had this little Tilda already colored up and had pleated the paper previously hoping one day to make a card as if she was dreaming out a window. Well this challenge was perfect for me. I just had to put it together. I used CTMH Aspen paper and cut out a whole for the window to show through. I used the pleated paper as the awning. The sentiment "Wish Big" is from Stamping Bella. I punched out the snowflakes and added a sugar coated brad. I colored her with my Derwents and Mineral Spirits. Have fun trying this different technique.

The Greeting Farm - Edward and STAMPTACULAR SUNDAY'S BONUS FUN HOP

I found this little one first, she's called Tilda on Prominade. She is an older Magnolia, but she reminded me of my 18 year old daughter, Sarah. Sarah used to love dresses. Well recently the concord flew to Canada from Cute Stamps and Cards in the Netherlands with an order for myself and my special friend Christine from Dol Creations. My friend Christine said I know it will come in on your way to your scrapbook retreat and you won't call to let me know they came it. Well she was right. I had packed for a weekend retreat only to work on my scrapbooks. When checking the mail and seeing our little package, I returned home and grabbed a bag with my card making supplies in it. I kidnapped it and took it to Collingwood, where I continued to make 2 cards to surprise Christine. Here's the first. I love this Greeting Farm image. I am deeply engrossed in the Twillight series, and mad passionately in love with Edward the vampire. I died when I saw this stamp and the resemblence he has to Edward. Then I see his name is Edward, and he was a must have. I dear friend who is celebrating her 30th birthday today was with me at the retreat. I found out she also loved Edward, so I sneekily made a card for her birthday. I embossed with 2 Cuttlebug folders, the birthday on the top, and swiss dots on the bottom. I added some Denim ribbon from Close to My Heart and there it was, my first Edward card. I colored him with my Derwents and Mineral Spirits. Isn't he to die for. Well Happy 30 Jenn, I'm really glad you loved the card. I hope you have a smashing day.

Whiff of Joy Challenge #46 Bev's Sketch

Here is my card for the Whiff of Joy Challenge. It was to follow a sketch using a Whiff of Joy image. I used my Willow with Lantern image that I have desperately waited to come in the mail. Isn't she just dreamy. I absolutely love her. I colored her with my Lyra's and Mineral Spirits. I used my Westeria paper. Wow do I love this paper. I'm going to have to start using some other paper, you will all think this is the only paper I own. LOL. I used a sentiment from My Sentiments Exactly (Birthday Collection). I layered some flowers that I got at Michaels with one of the glittery brads that also come from there. Happy back to school days to all the little ones.

Magnolia Challenge Week #8

Here's my challenge for week #8. I just love this little girl. She is so innocent sitting there with her cute little bonnet on. I used Martha Stewart Daisies and rick rack ribbon to embellish. Oh yeah, and glitter. What's a little girl without glitter.

Stamping Bella Challenge

Well here's my entry to the Bellarific Friday Challenge. I loved these little monsters. It was just hard to find spots to glitter. But I found the right spots. I thought they would make the perfect birthday card.

Magnolia Challenge #4

Here's my little Tilda with a candle. She's really supposed to be Christmassy but I did her in my favorite colors, pink and green. I added Flower Soft to her little headband. I used my sewing machine to stitch on the green polka dot paper to the background with my heronbone stitch. Most importantly glitter, glitter, and more glitter.

Here's my weekly challenge card for Stamping Bella. I used an old stamp called Priscilla with Presents. It's just a little birthday card I made. Maybe my mother in law will get it in June.

This was Sarah's 18th birthday card made with the new Bella line babe. She's one of the Faries. Certainly up my alley Emily. The colors are a bit vibrant, but if you know my 18 year old, lime green and hot pink are her favorite colors.
