Friday Sketchers - A Sketch by Aud/ Copic Creations - Colourless Blender

I finally got a chance to color up my beautiful new images. This little darling is called Birdie. This amazingly gorgeous image can be found at my new favorite spot Phindy's Place. She has the most amazing images. You'll see them popping up here and there as I'm totally hooked and will be coloring them up madly. I used my copics for this little one and finally got to use my new favorite paper Prima's Jack and Jill. A lot of new favorites today, lol.

I followed the Friday Sketechers sketch this week that looks like this:

I loved the little pull out tag, so I used one of my Cornish Farms sentiments that seemed pretty suitable, Hello Friend.

I'm also entering my card into the Copic Creations Challenge which is to use your colourless blender. On the 1st and 15th of every month they come out with a new challenge that teaches you new techniques. I just love trying them all. I absolutely love my blender and use it so much I bought a spare. I just found a place where I can buy a big refill of the solution for $6.00 Canadian. I am also going to try using the Purell technique suggested by one of the DT.

Well I'm off to Scrapfest in Oshawa, Ontario this am. That's why my post is so early. Hopefully I'll have more new favorites to show you after I spend last weeks paycheque on so more goodies.

2 Cards for 3 Challenges

Well I finally made time to go down to the inspiration room and turn some of my colored images into cards. I have been busy coloring away, but the weather's been so hot here in Ontario that I've been enjoying everyday in my 97 degree pool. I have so many images colored yet no cards were being produced. Finally last night I decided it was time to create, and I had so much fun putting cards together I had to share 2 with you this morning.
My first card was made for 2 challenges All That Scraps which had a sketch challenge. Here's the sketch:For this challenge I used some paper that I had bought for my Disney layouts made by Queen & Co. called Magic Stripes and Magic Polka Dots. I used a Jenni Bowlin Memo Note Pad and made a checklist with my pen of what you might not like to forget to take to the beach. I colored my CC Design image called Honey Bikini. Isn't she darling. I added glitter to her glasses and brown fun flock to the sand. I colored her with my copics. I added some gorgeous gingham ribbon from Papertrey and some embellishments, a Making Memories Pin, a charm from Stamping Bella and a paper clip from Close to My Heart.
I also did this card in Black, White and Red for the Crazy 4 Challenges Challenge this week where you had to make a card with these colors.
My second card was for the new challeng by Wild Orchid Crafts. They are a new challenge blog and I thought it would be fun to enter their first challenge which is Flowers. No problem there, I have tons.
For this card I used paper from Lullaby Lane and Life's Portraits. My stamp is from the amazing Elizabeth Bell called New Friends. I just love these stamps. They ink up beautifully. I colored her with my copics and added a little glitter. For the green backing piece I stamped it with CTMH's New Leaf ink and used a Prima stamp that I bought at Scrapfest with musical notes on it. I added some ribbon that I'd won in a challenge and my flowers and teardrops are from Magnolia. I added stickles onto my flowers. On the inside of the card I used some co-ordinating paper and some ribbon I had laying around. My sentiment is from Mona Lisa Moments and says:

There is no distance too far between friends
for friendship gives wings to the heart.

I thought this was perfect for this card with the little bird. Well off to the dentist. Hopefully I get more created tonight.

Curious Little Challenge Blog - Who R U? / Just Magnolia - Easel Cake

Well today a little package arrived in the mail. I have been desperately awaiting my Easter Collection from Magnolia. I had also ordered these jewels in every color, and had to incorporate them into this card, so these are the blue jewels from Magnolia. They are tear drop shape and in all sorts of colors, and they are stunning, so you'll be seeing lots of them on the cards for the next bit, lol.

Well at The Curious Little Challenge Blog they are celebrating Chapter 5 of Alice in Wonderland with a Whooooooo Rrrrrrrrrr Uuuuuu challenge by the Caterpillar. I decided to try something a little different. I took my Magnolia stamp "Chasing Butterflies" and stamped her not getting any ink on her pockets on the apron and the polka dots on the apron. I colored her in Alice colors. Then came the hard part. I didn't have a single caterpillar stamp. I did have a mini brass embossing plate with a tiny caterpillar on it, and I tried sponging it. It didn't turn out too great, so I added mini buttons over top to make my caterpillar. I punched my butterfly out with 2 Martha Stewart punches and added rhinestones down the middle for the body. I added some Kaiser Craft - Airy Fairy paper, Papertrey ribbon with a nice bow, and the new Magnolia jewels.

I decided to make it into an Easel card for Just Magnolia's challenge this week. To prop it up I cut out some mauve cardstock with my picket fence Martha Stewart boarder punch. I added mini flowers with another Martha punch, and put rhinestones in the middle of the flowers. To finish it off I used 2 sentiments. The smaller one on the outside of the card is from MSE, and the inner verse is from Cornish Heritage Farms - Friendship Collection.

Why not try your hand at an easel card, they're tons of fun.

Magnolia Down Under Challenge #34 - Easel Card - Friday Sketchers -90

My card today was for 2 challenges. Over at Magnolia Down Under they are doing Easel cards this week. I just love them. They're so fun to make as they force me to finish the inside of my cards. At Friday Sketchers they have a cute sketch. Here it is:

For my card I used Graphic 45 patterned paper, and added 3 colors of matching cardstock. I colored my Tilda and Teacup with the following copics:I added some glitter to the spoon to give it a shiney look. I pop dotted my Tilda so she was standing in front of the teacup. My flower is a Prima Flower with tons of Martha Stewart greenery (in my cardstock colors) punched out. I added a Jewelled brad and hung a tea bag and spoon charm from it. In the inside I used my lattice Martha Stewart Boarder punch and added some brads for the front of the card to rest up against. I used strawberry brads to match my patterned paper. Pop on over to the challenges and check out all the fantastic cards.

Stamptacular Sunday Challenge #31 - Friendship

This week over at Stamptacular Sunday Challenge we are making a card or project for a special friend, but the catch is that you must design your own background paper. I embossed flowers on my paper to go with the theme of flowers that I started on this card. I used 2 quilt sets that I had from Nicole Heady called Quilter's Sampler and Quilter's Sampler Additions. I love these sets as you can design whatever quilt you want. I mounted the squares together to form a quilt, and inbetween each corner I used embroidery thread and made french knots. I used my scalloped punch from Martha Stewart to create the lacy look and accented it with some polka dot ribbon and a flower. I used the sentiment about Friendship from the set as well. I thought the buttons sewn with the same embroidery thread added the homemade look to my card. Just Magnolia Challenge #21- Mina's Sketch

I've been a little slow at putting some cards up, as I was just trying to enjoy the last of summer The little ones go back to school in 2 days. I love when they're home, but after 2 months, I am certainly ready for Tuesday. I'm thinking I might pack the lunches and bags tonight, as I'm so excited it's almost here. Of course when they're gone, I truely do miss them. So I finally got around to doing my Just Magnolia Challenge card today. I followed Mina's beautiful sketch, and used my Imaginisce Paper (From the Fairest Of Them All Collection). I used my nestabilities to cut out the template behind Tilda and ran it through my Big Shot with a flower embossing folder. I then used my sage ink and ran it accross the flowers to give them a color tint. My sentiment is from My Sentiments Exactly - Friendship. I used my MS scalloped edge punch, and leaves punch and also Martha Stewart ribbon and flowers. I colored my Tilda with my lyras and mineral spirits. I added a little heart charm from Michaels. Hope you like it.

Just Magnolia #18 - Friendship

Here is my card for this week's Just Magnolia Challenge which required you do do a Friendship card. I used my Tilda Picking Lilacs image and colored her with my Lyra's and Mineral Spirits.
I added some mauve glitter to just a few of the flowers making them stand out. I was finally able to use my Lemonade paper. I used a sentiment I have from Stamping Bella which says it all about friends. To finish it off I used my labels die cut from Spellbinders. I mounted it on pink and hand cut around the label. I used a little heart charm I found at Michaels in the jewellery section. The have great charms there that are used for making necklaces and bracelets that aren't in the scrapbooking section. I stayed up late getting this card done before leaving on a mini vacation. We are driving to Cleveland Ohio to go to the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame, then my sports addict son wants his picture taken by the sports stadiums there, lol, then off to Cedar Point Amusement Park. We'll be back very late on Tuesday. If anyone of my American friends know of a good scrapbooking store in the area I'm heading, please reply here and let me know the name, then I'll definately pop in. Always on the prowl for some new supplies. See you all on Wednesday.

Just Magnolia Challenge #17 - Martine's Sketch

This is my card for Just Magnolia Challenge #17 - Martine's Sketch. You needed to follow Martine's sketch with an optional tag. I used my new Magnolia image Tilda with a Sunflower.
I used some old Close to My Heart paper from my Hollydays package. I matched it with some Nicole Heady orange and some butter yellow cardstock. I embellished with a few little rhinestone daisies and 3 sugar coated brads. My sentiment is from Cornish Heritage Farms - Mona Lisa Moments - Friendship. I finished off my tag with a little piece of orange rick rack held on with a sugar coated brad.
