Sugar Bowl Challenge #26 - Lilian's Sketch

Well I finally have time to actually make a card that is not just a Stampacular DT challenge card. I've been so busy, and with the kids and hubby home over the holidays, it was almost impossible to find a spare minute to do anything in the inspiration room. After cleaning out a bunch of stamps and things and listing them on Ebay, see entry below, I finally had time to make a couple of cards. This one is for the Sugar Bowl Challenge which is a sketch by Lilian. Here is the sketch:
This is my version of the sketch. I used My Mind's Eye paper called "Maggie May", and also some Bo Bunny dots paper. I used my gorjuss girl stamp "Miss Attitutde" I think she's called. I mounted her on green cardstock. I punched out a fence rail with my Martha Stewart boarder punch, and lightly sponged the bottom with green ink. I added rhinestones here and there on the flowers. I finished it off with a sentiment I got from Stamping Bella "whoopdeedoo". This pretty much says it all about my day. It was a productive day, but everyone was cranky, and irritable as they weren't used to getting up early. I sure was glad to get them all to bed tonight, which was early and they fell asleep like little babies. Should be a better day tomorrow as they'll all be rested. LOL.

Papertake Weekly #99 - Dawny's Sketch

This is my entry to Papertake Weekly Challenge #99. This week we had to follow Dawny's Sketch. I used my amazing Gorjuss Girls again. I love this one, she looks like she's dreaming. I colored her with my lyras and mineral spirits. I embossed the card stock in my new embossing folder from Cricket called Flowers. I added glitter here and there. My sentiment was bought quite a while ago, but I think I purchased it at Elzybells or Ellen Hutson. Hope you like my card today.

Sugar Bowl Challenge #16 - Marlene's Sketch

This week over at the Sugar Bowl the challenge is a sketch by Marlene and the "please include" is Doodling. I used one of my new Gorgjuss Girls Series 3 for this sketch and Doodled around my nestability circle the same design of swirls that are on her dress. I really enjoyed this sketch, it was fun picking out the papers. I added a flower with the greenery punched out of my Martha Stewart punch. I added some gold glitter to the duck and the duck barette that is in her hair. I glittered the designs on her dress and added a little bow with a decorative pin from Close To My Heart.

Sugar Bowl Challenge #15

Welcome Gorjuss Girls Set 3. Here is my entry to the Sugar Bowl Challenge. I just had to use one of my new stamps from Sugar Nellie. Isn't she darling. I'm so excited to get my 3rd set of the Gorjuss Girls. I'm so hooked. This week at the Sugar Bowl we had to follow a sketch drawing, but had to use bows and ribbons. I used Pink Sugar Coated glitter on the hearts on her skirt, heart in her hair, and to outline her fairy wings. She is very happy to be here in Canada in my little hands.

Sugar Bowl Challenge #12

Well of course it's my Gorjuss Girls again. I just love this one. Her little bear was just so cute I had to glitter him. This Challenge required lots of pieces of paper just like a little puzzle. This line just seamed the right colors for my Sugar Bowl Challenge #12 which asked you to keep it in the blues and greens. This is the sketch we had to follow, and of course you must use a Sugar Nellie Stamp.

Sugar Bowl Challenge #10

Well this is my first time playing in the Sugar Bowl. I needed to follow a sketch with a Sugar Nellie stamp. Well that was a piece of cake for me because I'm so very much in love with my new Gorjuss Girls. It was fun to follow a sketch and still get a little creative. I had to add my glitter though. What's a girlie card without glitter.

Here's another of my little Gorjuss girls. I love embellishing these little girls. I used a big sheer ribbon bow with a hat pin in the middle topped with 2 flowers and a sugar coated brad, and for a little extra look I hung a medallion that says sweet from Close to my Heart. I colored her with my Lyra pencil crayons blending her with mineral spirits. Isn't she Gorjuss!!!

Here is my little Gorjuss girl called Foxy Girl. I just love these stamps from Scotland. I have 2 more colored and waiting to be assembled into a card. So you will see those soon. Keep watching.

Well, the week is almost over. Friday is just around the corner and Mother's Day is on Sunday. Happy Mother's Day to all my beautiful friends. While my friend Christine's Mojo left her yesterday, I think she left it over here. I was a busy beaver finishing 6, yes girls that is 6 cards. I have been coloring and coloring but not constructing. I spent every spare minute yesterday in the inspiration room. I had a hard time picking one to post today, so I am going to show you my first completed Gorjuss Girl. I just loved her, and all her sisters. I used these new flowers to embellish, and they are a plain white. You use your tombows or copics to color them. It's nice to be able to have flowers close to the color of your paper. I'm loving the Labels Line from Nestabilities. I had a couple of mistake cut out ones laying around and they just happened to work with this card. Enjoy
