Stamptacular Sunday Challenge #45 - Sweet Treat

This week at Stamptacular Sunday Challenge we are celebrating Valentine's Day with a project that inculdes a sweet treat. I had wanted to bake cupcakes and make a cupcake box, but my oven broke so that went out the window. So I came up with dipping marshmallows in Hershey's chocolate and then touching the tops in red sugar. I used florist foam and wrapped it in wrapping paper. Then I colored my new CC Design stamp club kids. I colored their hair to match my kids hair, lol. I used my copics again. Here's the colors I used:I stamped out the heart from the Magnolia winter kit... that's 3 stamps I've used from it now, the Champagne bottle and glass, and now the heart. Such a shame that that kit was so disappointing. I added my kids names in the heart and it was done. Stick in the dipped marshmallows and you have a quick and easy sweet treat. Stamptacular Sunday Challenge #43 Pop Up

This week at Stamptacular Sunday Challenge we are doing pop up cards. I had hoped to have come up with another idea than this one, but really struggled with the pop up aspect. I had searched you tube for tutorials and finally found one, so I hope to be done another version of a pop up card. This card is more of a spring loaded card, but still pops up. I had wanted to make a birthday card for my birthday today, but loved this new image from Stamping Bella called Romantic Cage. Isn't it darling. The image I used on my cover is the Love Definition Block. I made this Valentine's Day card for my oldest daughter, Sarah, as it gives the definition of Love as "A feeling of warm attachment, or deep affection, as for a parent, child or friend". The 2 little birds are just too cute. The paper I used is from Bo Bunny and is part of the Whoo Loves You Collection. I added tons of pearls, and pink rhinestones to the flowers on the front of the card. The larger pink rhinestones are from Martha Stewart's Wedding Collection. I also tied it with my famous Papertrey ribbon. I had bought the self adhesive springs from a shop somewhere, just not sure what spending spree they were part of, LOL. I colored my image with my copics. I am sure having fun with them. I can't believe though how many you have out on the table once you are done coloring. I use 3-4 tones per area I color and with the blending it can take longer to color an image. Once the fun wears off, I will jump back and forth from copics to pencil crayons.

1 Card, 4 Challenges

Well the copics seem to be working just fine. I love, love, love them. I have to force myself to get back into my Derwents and Lyras. I can't wait to take the Copic course from Linda Heavens at Stamping Bella in February. Well on to my card.

It was done to fit into 4 Challenges. Over at Just Magnolia they are doing cards this week to show appreciation, they are looking for Thank You cards. Magnolia-licious is doing pink cards. Down at Magnolia Down Under the theme this week is Valentines. Over at Friday Sketchers it is the following sketch:
For my card I used the Magnolia stamp called "Tin Boxes", it is totally Valentines. My Tilda is called Tilda with Hat. I used Imaginisce "Sweet Cheri" DP, and added in the Bo Bunny Dots in pink. I typed the sentiment on the computer. I added some glitter to the valentine candies and Tilda's hat and socks. I love the Nicole Heady polka dot ribbon and try to use it on as many cards as possible. The flowers were purchased at Michaels, and I'm not sure who makes them.

Happy Monday A Stair Step Hanglar Card

For fun I tried my hands at a Stair Step card today. I had just gotten my 131 copic markers last week and was so anxious to use them that these were the first 2 images I colored. Not bad for a beginner eh? I did make one error that I'll have some fun showing you. I had looked at the girls right ear, and realized it was an ear, but colored it red without a second thought. I had put so much work into my coloring that I pulled out the colorless blender and spent some time erasing and heat setting, over and over until I got it almost clear. I just couldn't bear to recolor another one. Besides this is hubby's Valentine's card, and honestly, he'll never see it. LOL. I love these Hanglar images. They had been sent to me by a dear blogger friend. I used my new Martha Stewart punches from the spring line. I love the Lady Bug one. You will be seeing a lot more of that one. I also adore the grass one, and pink grass was fun to make. The sentiment is mine, printed in red ink from the computer. I needed the right saying for the card, and of course DH. Hope you enjoy it. I searched the blogs for hours trying to find a challenge to put it in, and couldn't find a one, so here it is, just a card.
