I have been struggling through the past couple of weeks, and in case I haven't told you already, hubby has been doing afternoons. You know how you love them so much, but hate when they cramp your style. Well I'm going to be a surviver and get through this week, then he's back on days. You always feel like you have to be doing something around the house when they're home, instead of spending a really yucky, overcast, drizzly day in your little inspiration room scrapbooking your heart out. So when he went to work this afternoon, down I went. I finally got around to getting a card made with my new CC Design stamp Emma with Apples. They stamp up so nicely. I really enjoyed coloring them. Iused my nesties to cut her out and matt her. I also was able to use some of my new paper from Graphic 45. It's a fantastic line of papers, I think I bought one of each. I used my Martha Stewart Loopy Boarder Punch, and added some Martha Stewart RickRack. I layered my buttons. I punched out tons of leaves with my two leaf punches, and then I found 2 little wooden apples from my old Folk Art days. I painted them red, and covered them in glossy accents. (This is where it gets messy). Once I had them completly coated I rolled them in really fine red glitter. I found an old pack of Potpourri and found 2 twigs in it and broke them down and glued them into my apples. Once the apples were dry, I used the same embroidery thread and tied them together. I added a bow, and glued the apples down on top of a bed of fall leaves. I had fun getting creative with this one. Enjoy!!
Hugs xx
