Stamptacular Sunday Challenge - Going In Circles

This week at Stamptacular Sunday Challenges we are looking for cards or projects with as many circles as you can add without it looking gaudy. There's tons of paper out there with circles on them, cricut cartridges with circles, die cuts with circles, stamps with circles, so let's see what creation you can come up with. For my card I used my Basic Grey collection, and cut a couple of the circle patterns out and mounted them. I stamped a couple of my Just Rite stamps on some circles I punched out of cream cardstock. I ran some pink cardstock through my cuttlebug with my Bloom Dots Embossing folder. I mounted all my little circles and added them to the top part of the card in various order. I used my Martha Stewart Loopy Boarder punch to punch out some matching Basic Grey paper, and added green ribbon ontop of that. I then added matching rhinestones and baubbles and my card was done.
Here's our fantastic prize this week:
A $25.00 gift certificate from Simon Says. Wow, you can pick out whatever you like. Plus this certificate includes FREE SHIPPING!!! So get those creative juices going and let's see what you can come up with this week.

Stamptacular Sunday Challenge #22 Scallop Mania/ Cute Card Thursday Challenge #76 Back To School

This card was made for 2 challenges. Stamptacular Sunday Challenge is having a challenge this week using scallops, and Cute Card Thursday is celebrating the return to school of all the kids around the world. For this card I used my Basic Gray paper Lemonade. I love this paper as it has so many variations of the paper and tons of color tones in it allowing you to use it with many images. I felt it matched perfectly with my Granny Smith apple stamp from Lockhart Stamps. Apples remind us of both teachers and doctors. I used my Just Rite stamp set to print out my sentiments. The card is filled with scallops for the Stamptacular Sunday Challenge. The apples and sentiments make it a card for a teacher returning from their summer for The Cute Card Thursday Challenge. Hope you have a great Thursday.

For 2 Great Teachers

Well it took some time for me to figure out what I was doing with these teacher cards, and they finally came together last night. I used my friends Ellen Hutson Itty Bitty Apple stamp for the middle of the circle. I stamped the sentiment with my handy dandy Just Rite stamp set. This is a very fidgety little gadget, however the final outcome outweighs the frustration of fiddling with the little letters. This gives any card such personalization. I used a foam square to stand the apple up. I used my darling Tilda in her jeans, and perched her atop of the little rail fence, with her basket of apples beside her for her teacher. My son and daughter were blessed by having truly great teachers this year. The support and commitment those teachers gave my children will forever be remembered. I wanted an extra special card for them. My little apple says "Special Teacher", and was purchased from my favorite shopping spot, Stamping Bella.
