Papertake Weekly #99 - Dawny's Sketch

This is my entry to Papertake Weekly Challenge #99. This week we had to follow Dawny's Sketch. I used my amazing Gorjuss Girls again. I love this one, she looks like she's dreaming. I colored her with my lyras and mineral spirits. I embossed the card stock in my new embossing folder from Cricket called Flowers. I added glitter here and there. My sentiment was bought quite a while ago, but I think I purchased it at Elzybells or Ellen Hutson. Hope you like my card today.

Sugar Bowl Challenge #12

Well of course it's my Gorjuss Girls again. I just love this one. Her little bear was just so cute I had to glitter him. This Challenge required lots of pieces of paper just like a little puzzle. This line just seamed the right colors for my Sugar Bowl Challenge #12 which asked you to keep it in the blues and greens. This is the sketch we had to follow, and of course you must use a Sugar Nellie Stamp.

Bellarific Friday Challenge June 12th, 2009

Today was the final day for the Stamping Bella Challenge. I have had a very busy and discouraging week that included a Harvey's Hamburger dripping oil all over my blouse while I was out running errands, to locking my keys in my car, and being locked out with oil all down my blouse. Then having to wait 1 1/2 hours for my dedicated 17 year old to finish an in class assignment before he could drive the 20 mins to unlock me. The other discouraging part, if you're my husband, was that I locked myself out of the van outside Home Sense. What a gold mine. Luckily I had my cell phone to keep intouch with my fellow scrapbooker in crime Christine from dolcreations, and my credit card. Well Christine has had enjoyment in pointing out that I could have called a towtruck for $50.00, however my 1 1/2 visit to Home Sense rendered me $190.00 in the red. (Hubby thinks I got some pretty good deals). I now have birdhouses, birdcages, candles and lots of other good stuff for my gardens. LOL. So in finalizing this wonderful story I have been behind all week, and have not had time to do my Bellarific Friday card. Then today I received an e-mail from Two Scrapbook Friends in Waterloo that inspired me to finish my Bellarific Card. Right to the wire I got it in at 4:59 pm for the cutoff time of 5:00 pm. Here is my inspiration from Two Scrapbook Friends:

Here is my card:

I'm sure the weekend will be better as it has already started for me.

Stamping Bella Challenge

Well here's my entry to the Bellarific Friday Challenge. I loved these little monsters. It was just hard to find spots to glitter. But I found the right spots. I thought they would make the perfect birthday card.

Magnolia Challenge Week #7

Well here's my Magnolia Challenge for the week. The category was bugs and animals. I chose a Stamping Bella Magical Frog. When I put it together I felt my little Tilda was deciding whether or not to give her prince a little kiss. I added lots of glitter to the little frog, but it doesn't show. He has 3 rhinestones on his crown.

Stamping Bella Challenge

This is my Stamping Bella Challenge for the week. I love this little dragon. I'm not sure of his name because I was in Bellaland when he came in and I got him hot off the press. I'm not sure that Emily had even named him yet. I am partial to pinks with greens and blues, so this is my magical dragons colors.

Yeah I won the Bella Challenge!!

Here is my Stamping Bella challenge card for this week. I love this little girl. I used Imaginisce Summer Cool - Blue Raspberry Ripple paper. I cut my image of little miss Amplee tude on the right side so I could wrap some Nicole Heady polka dot ribbon on the left side of the square. Instead of a plain circle I used the Storybook cartridge from my Cricut Expressions and cut a 4" flower with the reverse side of the paper. To embellish I added an ice cream scoop that I bought at Stamping Bella to go with Little Miss's ice cream cone.

Magnolia Challenge #5
I think my entry is a few hours too late, which is too bad, because I actually had it completed around 3:00 pm, but I was busy painting trim at my other house and didn't get around to entering until now. Well if I was too late, here's my Challenge entry for you all to see.

Rain In Ontario?

Well here's a Tilda card with my new image from the Spring line. We had a beautifully sunny Sunday here in Ontario, a little cool, but sunny no doubt. I'm not sure what tomorrow holds as we celebrate Queen Victoria day here with a Monday off work for all. I thought if it was going to be rainy I would prepare everyone with my little Tilda in the Rain, and maybe by doing this little card early I might force Mother Nature to bring us another sunny day. Happy Victoria Day to all my fellow Canadians.

It's a little hard to see, but this is my Stamping Bella Challenge for this week. Emily was looking for bling in gold and black with a touch of pink. I got out the old embosser and made my own black paper with the stars from the Ketto collection and used my Margarita Ketto stamp. I stamped Margarita onto Nicole Heady's gold shimmer paper and embossed the stars on her dress. I hope you like her.

Here's another of my little Gorjuss girls. I love embellishing these little girls. I used a big sheer ribbon bow with a hat pin in the middle topped with 2 flowers and a sugar coated brad, and for a little extra look I hung a medallion that says sweet from Close to my Heart. I colored her with my Lyra pencil crayons blending her with mineral spirits. Isn't she Gorjuss!!!

Here's another little Tilda card. It reminds me of when I was little. My Dad used to take me to church every Sunday with my little dresses and hats. I wouldn't leave him to go to the Sunday School class, so I got to sit on the knee rest and play with my dolls on the pews. I used to build doll houses with the prayer and hymm books. Dad was always a softie with me and with a cute look I could always talk him into an ice cream and the park after church. Mom used to wonder why I liked to go so much. LOL.

Magnolia Challenge #10 Summer

Well here's my little Tilda In The Sea stamp that I love so much. I used the new punch I found at Michaels with the sandcastles and buckets. I embelleshed with a little flip flop I picked up at my favorite store, Stamping Bella. I added glitter to the water, then I put liquid glass over the water to give it that wet look. Hope you like her.

Well, the week is almost over. Friday is just around the corner and Mother's Day is on Sunday. Happy Mother's Day to all my beautiful friends. While my friend Christine's Mojo left her yesterday, I think she left it over here. I was a busy beaver finishing 6, yes girls that is 6 cards. I have been coloring and coloring but not constructing. I spent every spare minute yesterday in the inspiration room. I had a hard time picking one to post today, so I am going to show you my first completed Gorjuss Girl. I just loved her, and all her sisters. I used these new flowers to embellish, and they are a plain white. You use your tombows or copics to color them. It's nice to be able to have flowers close to the color of your paper. I'm loving the Labels Line from Nestabilities. I had a couple of mistake cut out ones laying around and they just happened to work with this card. Enjoy

Here's a little card I did yesterday. It's the Wedding dress stamp from Stamping Bella. I added thin pink sheer ribbon to the dress to give it a realistic look. I then cut the bow out and raised it with foam dots. It could be used for Prom or Wedding with the pink added to it.

Just a plain little Tilda card for a Monday morning of getting back into the routine of it all. I used the stamp Hip Hip Hooray because Tilda didn't look too thrilled about her Monday morning. Hope everyone else's goes a little better than Tilda's. LOL.

What a beautiful day outside here in Ontario. I ventured out into the garden today and saw that both of my Lilac trees are completely covered with buds. Well I told you how much I love my Tulips, but I never told you that Lilacs are far more the favorite flower here in my home. I totally fill every room, with every vase stuffed full of Lilacs from my trees. If I could live somewhere where Lilacs flowered all year, that's where I'd move. So needless to say those buds on my trees inspired me to finish my Tilda with Lilacs Card. Happy Sunday!

Just Magnolia Challenge Week 2.
I wanted to get some of these cards put together yesterday, and again the 4 kids kept me going. Needless to say I was able to get one done. I just love this image of Tilda with the Tulips. She just reminds me that Spring is near. Anyone who knows me knows that from March until May there is a vase of Tulips on my kitchen table non-stop. Tulips are one of the first flowers of Spring, they flower for almost 2 weeks in a vase, and they actually grow while in the vase. Most importantly Tulips remind me of my honeymoon to Europe, The Netherlands being my favorite of the 7 countries that we travelled. I used the nestabilities die cut called Labels One, and put 2 of the templates close together to get the small green strip to create a window look. Hope she makes you feel a little Springy today.

Well what a beautiful Monday morning. It is supposed to get up to 80 degrees today. Phew. Then back to a cool day tomorrow. When is spring going to be here for good. Well here's a little Magnolia card, just a simple one, to pick up your day.

Here she is!!! Well this is the new line of our Bella babes. I have been so very anxious to post her. She is so new she doesn't even have a name yet. I made this card for Sarah for her ballet recital. Hope you love it as much as I did.
