Our next day is just a relaxing day at Nanny's with some beaching. There's a great State park there called Honeymoon Point.

Day 13 we are hoping to go to the Lowry Zoo in Tampa. I hear it's an amazing zoo.

Another relaxing beach day and shell collecting will be happening on our last day here.

This is our travelling home day. We are hoping that when we come back that winter will be over. LOL. (At least I am, the little one loves winter). I was hoping I could convert her to the loving the heat. I do know that she is now hoping to be a Marine Biologist now. I loved matching the paper to whatever we were doing that day. The airplane page is my favorite. I love the paper I found.

My last page is just the back cover decorated for odds and ends. Hope you love the book.

More Organizer Pages

Well here's some more pages of my personalized organizer. We have another days at sea so here is this page.

Our last stop is at Disney's private island. They call this beach Castaway Cay (pronounced Key). Here we are spending time with Stingrays.

On our final disembarkment day we are heading to Orlando to the Nickelodeon Suites Hotel. Here the rooms are all decorated with Nickelodeon characters and there's a big water park with a slime bucket.
Day 9 is going to be spent in Legoland. On my honeymoon in 1990 my hubby and I stayed a night in Legoland in Denmark, so this will be great to see what our version holds.

Day 10 has us driving to Dunedin where the in-laws stay. Here we will be doing some relaxing and beaching.

Day 11 is a fabulous day for us. Shelby is going in the tank with the dolphin Winter from the movie A Dolphin's Tail. She will be learning about the dolphin and of course getting a picture of herself with Winter.

Hand made Organizer

Well I was finding it hard to keep all my information together for this long trip as I was making arrangements for tons of fun stuff for Shelby and I to do. The solution was to make my own organizer that would do exactly what I needed it to do and be totally personalized to my trip. So I first made my cover using heavy duty chipboard from Cinch, which is the binding machine I used. I won it at our Scrapfest scrapbooking show that happens here in Ontario, Canada 2 times a year. I made all my pages the same as I whipped it off in one night. Of course I added the dates and names and embellishments the next day.

This was the beginning of the book so I'm keeping our travel documents in it, and the information for our limo to the airport.

Page one is our boarding documents for our Disney Magic Cruise. I used Mickey tabs for all the page dividers.

Day 2 is our first stop in Key West. Here we are taking a conch train to a butterfly conservatory and aquarium.

Day 3 is an at sea day. I'm not sure what fabulous things the boat will have to offer us to do, so this page is ready to be filled.

Day 4 is my birthday and we will be spending it in Grand Caymen learning about sea turtles and watching how they are farmed and released. I can't wait to hold the babies. I had a little turtle as a kid who I named Speedy. He didn't live long, so hope these little guys live longer.

Day 5 puts us in Cozumel, Mexico. Here we are going to an aquarium and we are going into a tank with dolphins. We will learn tons about them and get to feel them. Exciting.

Gifts all done for Cruise

Well just thought I'd share with you all the final bundle of gifts that I'm bringing for our group on the Disney Magic cruise. Only 4 more sleeps to go. The albums which I've shown previously were put into freezer bags that I stamped Mickey's head on with red Stazon ink. Those are for the parents. For the kids I made the bookmarks and they'll get a mickey pen as well. There are some grandparents and older kids coming so I covered large packages of tic tacs for them. My 10 year old and myself will secretly put them in the Fish Extenders, pouches that hang on the door like mine that I showed in an earlier post the first night so everyone can use theirs. Just so excited that our trip is finally here. Stay tuned over the next few days to see the organizer that I made to organize our trip.

Christmas Table Favors

A little late on this one, but these are the Santa hats full of chocolates that I made for everyone at our table. They were a huge hit. The candies were chocolate Santas. I used my cuttlebug and impressed the red cardstock with snowflakes. I cut the tag out with my cricut and stamped it with a stamp from Stamping Up. The bell was silver so I painted it white and when it was wet I rolled it in glitter. The brim of the hat is cut out of white glitter paper. The worst part was the red glitter ribbon. I squeezed it in the punched holes at the top and glitter went everywhere. More than that my table cloth was covered when everyone opened theirs. lol. The chocolates were a hit though.

January Calendar Page

Well here's my January calendar for my amazing holder. I used my Bo Bunny paper that I love so much and have about 400 sheets of, lol. I matched it with some green and purple cardstock. My image is from Phindy's Place and is called Big Hill. I just love this little guy getting ready to tackle the 6" hill. I colored him with my copics in matching colors and added tons of glitter to look like he's out in one of our Canadian winters, at least the ones that we used to have with tons of snow. I added some snowflakes that were made with a combination of Nestibilities and my Martha Stewart punch. I threw a couple of purple rhinestones in the middle of the snowflakes. You'll notice on the calendar that there's 2 green rhinestones on the calendar. The first one is on the 21st. That is the day that I leave for my Disney cruise with my 10 year old. The 2nd one is on the 24th. That is my 50th birthday that will be celebrated in Grand Caymen swimming with dolphins with my baby and then on the boat for a formal dinner. My February calendar will be a little late as I don't get back from my trip until February 4th. Hope you enjoy.

Disney Fish Extender

Well I know this is my scrapbooking site, but I just had to share with you all a quilting project my amazing friend Chris made fore me. I am going on a Disney cruise with my youngest who is 10 in 16 days. We are just so excited. I showed you earlier the disney books I made for gifts for all in our group. What I didn't show you was where you put the gift. Every cabin that is participating in this hangs a strip with pouches and your names on it, on the brass decoration that is a fish that is outside every cabin door. Well I'm a good sewer, but only with a pattern and my fabulous friend Chris is an amazing sewer with no pattern. Her and her husband, who is a graphic artist designed this for me. I surprised my daughter with it on Christmas day along with the gift of the cruise. I also made for the kids disney bookmarks, but will post them tomorrow. Hope you love this quilted beauty as much as I do.

Disney Fish Extender Gift Albums

This January I am taking my 10 year old daughter on a Disney Cruise. It is a multi purpose cruise. For her it is a Christmas Present, and for me it is a way to celebrate my 50th in Grand Caymen. I have found that on the cruises they have metal fish mounted on the wall outside each cabin. What people do is sew or make these hanging pouches with all the people in the families names on them that look like the old fashioned shoe bags. You then make gifts to put in them for all the people in your group that joined. So far there are 17 families that have joined my group. I have decided to make photo albums. I used cardboard for the front and back and covered it with cardstock. I then cut out a mini cruise ship with my Cricut machine and labeled it Magic, which is the name of the boat. I then cut out an anchor and put the date of our cruise on it. Along the bottom I put Western Caribbean on with my white pen as that's where the cruise is going. I used Disney paper and plain cardstock and embellished with stickers and chipboard characters. Each page has a pocket for any memorabilia the families have from each port of call and they can put a picture on the opposite page. I tied it all together with different colored ribbon. I have made 14 of these so far, but still have another 4 minimum to make. I am also making bookmarks and giving pencils to the kids. Hope you enjoy them.

November Calendar

My friend Christine from Dolcreations started doing these calendar holders. I finally got my hands on one and here is my November calander card. I used my Papertrey stamp set called Boards and Beams and colored it with my copics. I pop dotted the tree to give it some dimension. I just printed the calendar from the internet and pop dotted that also. My paper is from Graphic 45. I thought that I would use fall colors since we've already had our Thanksgiving here in Canada and winter is just that little bit away. Hope you like it.

Witches Hat Treat Boxes

This Halloween I decided to follow my fabulous girlfriend in Aurora who found this pattern on line. I made 6 of these hats, 2 of each pattern. That means one for each of us in the family. I took this great paper that I found in my little nook in the wall store in Stouffville, Ontario. The paper is a heavier paper so very good to hold the candies in. I'm not sure what company it is from though. I followed the pattern for the hats from many blogs until I finally got the dimensions right. I added some black glitter paper and stamped a tag with a sentiment from Stampin' Up. I mounted that with a cut out Nestability that my friend had. You fill it with candy and tie some matching ribbon at the top to close it up. I just decorated it with spider rings and bat rings and skull rings cutting off the back part to the rings. My kids will enjoy these when they get home from school and work.

Quick Quotes Layout

Here's a layout I finished yesterday. It is a kit that I bought from Quick Quotes. This kit is called "What Little Girls are made of". I decided to change the layout quite a bit. The kit had the tags with sayings going horizontal across the page. I covered them with black and white pictures of the people I travelled to the Dominican with. The larger picture on the right page is the 3 friends I knew heading out and myself. I soon got to know the other 9 people really well and had a real ball travelling with them. I also changed the sentiments so it wasn't about little girls but added on some vellum with travel sayings on it to the remaining tags. I added lots of rhinestones and the tropical flowers to finish it off. These kits are handy when you don't want to do any thinking. I find they're affordable and quick to put together. A Spooky Layout

This is a layout that I did for a local scrapbooking store. They wanted me to show a technique. The technique that I showed was was paper tearing. On the right side page that says 4 Little I paper tore a zig zag down the page and punched out holes on all the pointed edges. I laced it with some gingham ribbon. I had some Halloween stickers that matched the paper so on the black caldron and the mask I added green stickles to give it a 3D look. For my left page layout I tore a spooky tree and added lots of googly eyes for the spook factor. I added a little ribbon to the tree to blend it with the right page. For my journalling I punched out a matching circle and added my journalling onto vellum and adheared it to the moon. Hope you like this spooky layout.

Cruise Layout of Cabin

This is another of my layouts for my cruise with my daughter. This one of course is the inside of our cabin, which to us, was spacious and amazing except for our shower tube. It was like standing in one of those tubes that shoots messages from one area of an office to another. I kept looking up to make sure I wasn't going to end up shot up to the pool on the upper deck in my birthday suit, (a very scary thought). I needed to scrapbook the cabin so we can remember our fabulous trip in every aspect.

The layout was based on one in the Close to my Heart book called Reflections. I loved how they did the little shadow box, so I did my own with the date of our trip on it. I also used plain prisma flowers and colored them with an orange ink to match the papers. The font that I cut out was from my Cricut cartridge called Life's A Beach.

Easter Card for my Baby! (She's 20)

Here is a card I have done for my daughter for Easter. I used my Basic Grey mini pad called Olivia. I added some flowers I had laying around to the edges. It is an easel card with a pop up egg. The image is Mo Digital image called Savannah in her Easter Dress with chicks. My oldest daughter, who has come so very far these last few weeks, used to love the dresses I used to sew for her. There were layers of tulle and lace and the more the merrier for her. This is a card that reminds me of when my 20 year old was a little one. I hope she loves it too. The sentiment is from Close To My Heart's April stamp of the month.

A Birthday Card

This is a card I finally got to for my son's 19th birthday. I had ordered this fabulous image from Mo's Digital Pencil called Harvard. Since my son is off at university I thought it was perfect for his birthday.

I colored the image with my copics, and added liquid glass to the lenses of his glasses. Now my son doesn't wear glasses, but he's just as bright as this little guy.

I used my Basic Grey Oliver paper pack and made up my own sentiment.

Just a quick card for my boy who I miss so much.

My Cruise Cover Page

Well it was difficult to do a scrapbook page without a picture in it, but I got creative to make this cover page for my cruise album. Last year around this time I had just come back from a 7 day cruise with my daughter for her 19th birthday. It was a fabulous cruise and I figured I had better get that vacation done before moving on to my Dominican trip in February with the girls.

For my layout I used the wavy paper from Best Creation Inc's Surf's Up line. I cut out some of the waves with my exacto knife and tucked the cruise ship behind it. The cruise ship was cut out with my Cricuit cartridge called Life's A Beach, great cartridge. I used my white ink pen to write the name of our cruise ship on the boat. For the steam I just added, actually really gooped, some liquid glue and mixed together a white and pale blue Fun Flock with some glitter in it and put it ontop of the glue to look fluffy. I used some dollar store foam letters and mounted them on blue cardstock for the Title and Date. On the side I just used my label printer and printed out all the Ports of Call that we visited. I just wanted to keep it a little simple. Hope you like it.

Off To University Layout

Well this is the 1st double page layout of my sons new steps to University. Oh how I miss him. I'm really lucky that his university is only 2 hours away if I get those really big mommy pains. I use it as an excuse to get some scrapbook shopping in as there's quite a few amazing little stores in the St. Catherine's area. I have lots of pages planned ahead as I have a new friend in his dormatory named Brittany who loves to take pictures and she's sending them off to me so I can scrap them. (She's also a scrapbooker, so I'm getting some pretty great pictures.)

For my layout I used the Close To My Heart paper from the Rock Star set. I love the colors in this paper pack and it's so easy to match it to so much. I cut my letters out with my Cricut Cartridge called Varsity Letters. I had a hard time finding this cartridge, but eventually a family trip to Conneticut landed me into a gigantic Walmart that had it. On the left hand page I added a single picture of my boy heading off to University and cut out some of the leftover stars and pop dotted them at different heights. In the centre of them I added rhinestones in the same colors. On the right hand layout I used some Close To My Heart blue rick rack and added a couple of embellishments from Big Memory Ideas. My next one is going to be Dorm life where I snapped a few pictures of his room. Should be coming soon.

Before Punta Cana Bo Bunny Challenge

Well it took me a couple of days longer to be able to post this layout then I wanted to. I had wanted to post it Sun. morning, but was having internet problems here.

I'm off to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic very, very early Saturday morning, so I wanted to start my scrapbook early. I have a great BFF named Rose, and two other fabulous BFF's, Deanna and Teresa. They had a group trip planned and a spot became available to go world travelling with them and I grabbed it real fast. I surprised Rose on Saturday (her birthday almost) with the fact that I'm coming with her. I had bought us all lei's and a flower clip for a before photo shot. Dee ended up buying us all the hats, and it made the picture perfect. So off we go. I wanted to start a layout for the cover page of my travel scrapbook, and here it is.

I had this layout in mind and I'm very happy how it turned out. I used paper from Bo Bunny's Paradise line that I had bought at one of my favorite scrapbooking shops, The Workshop. When I talked with Sandy, the owner, she found the Bo Bunny rope. I wasn't sure if I could add it in without it looking weird, but decided to use it to hang my charm letters I cut from my Life's A Beach Cricket Cartridge. Fabulous cartridge for tropical layouts. I also cut the palm trees out from it and added them on the side. I had to cut some off to put it on the side like I wanted. The chipboard is also from Bo Bunny's Paradise line. I used blue core paper and tore waves out and added some glossy accents on the peaks with a little glitter of course. I only glued the edge of the waves so I can tuck in my plane ticket when I get back. On the bottom I added some sand from Mud Puddles called Sand Paste. It comes in many colors and textures. I brought some back from Conneticut when visiting my Sister-In-Law. I also have just used a strong glue and pressed sand into it. This technique will work if you don't have the Mud Puddles product. I added a few very tiny shells I had into it before it dried. You just have to leave it overnight to dry. Great product.

This is a picture of the group of crazy BFF's I'm going with. I hope we're smiling just as much on the after picture after spending a week together. I'm sure we will though, good friends just enjoy each other's company. See you all in a week..

A Long Sabbatical!!

Well hello my long lost bloggers. I have missed everyone. I'm not sure how often I will get to post these days, but will try when I can.

I had to take a long sabbatical recently to try to balance my time better. I have taken on a job at my local Walmart and in the beginning it was just part time. They asked me to put in for full time, and now I'm Department Manager (full time) of Ladies Fashion. It has exhausted me tremendously as I am a stay at home mom who now needs to get everything done between 4:00 pm and midnight when I used to have all day. Needless to say it has cut down the time I can put into my passion of Scrapbooking. It was so bad that I didn't even get my Christmas cards finished and sent out for the first time ever. This led me decide how I could balance my limited scrapbooking time to fit in both cards, that I never give to anyone, just stock pile them in the basement, or my scrapbooks that were getting so far behind because of my new passion of card making. I have come to the conclussion that I must get my layouts caught up and at least feel like the time I'm putting in has a final benefit to me. I will get cards done here and there, but my new goal is to complete 100 layouts this year. I have already completed 20 single page layouts and we're only 3 weeks into January. Yeah to me!!!

This layout is one from a kit that Close To My Heart sells called Miracle. I bought the kit and it was the first 2 double page layouts I did for the year. Everything comes with the kit and the layouts are already given, you just follow the instructions and there you have 2 double page layouts from the same kit. It was my motivator to get me back into the layout swing. I used it for my Daughter's kindergarden graduation pictures. I added the title to it to incorporate the butterflies and graduating to Grade 1. I hope you like it. I will display more of my completed layouts in the next few week.

I hope I don't loose you all as followers, and will try to find time to visit my fabulous card making friends blogs as I can. Have a wonderful Thursday, as usual, I'm off to work.

Stamptacular Sunday Challenge - A Time For Giving

Hello all and sorry for the late entry. I was away on a scrapbooking retreat and for the first time the internet box was broken and I couldn't get a signal at all. I tried everything, even loading it from my blackberry, but that wasn't working unfortunately. I then got home in just enough time to take my son an hour and a half away for a hockey game. By the time I got home, I was so wiped that I couldn't do anymore than fall asleep on the couch which didn't pay off because I slept in for my new job this morning. Turns out that when I was away, hubby turned the music down on my alarm clock because it went off Saturday and he didn't know how to turn it off. I didn't think for a second about checking my volumn. Needless to say today was a write off, and immediately after work, off for a full grocery shop as no one can seem to do that when I'm away. UGH.

Anyway, this is a workshop that I did, but never finished. I worked on finishing it this week and added my little Penny Black little girl with her inner tube. I am going to add more of the stamps on it as it comes with tons of stamps like a sandcastle, bucket, fish, etc. I'm going to wait until I add my pictures from the beach in Florida with the kids to through on somemore of the stamp images. I'm not sure who makes the paper, I thought it was crate paper, but I was not too sure.
I colored with my copics and added ribbon on the rings. What I like about it is there's tons of spots for pictures and journalling.

Stamptacular Sunday Challenge - A Sketch

For my card I used Memory Boxes paper called Mistletoe. I used the most amazing stamp from MFT called Pure Innocence. It is called Flurries of Love. You can see it here and order this darling if you like.

I colored my image with my copics, and added glitter to the snow and the fur on her coat. I then used a new product that I found at our local Scrapfest show. The product is by Viva and is a pearl pen. You just dot it and let it dry and it looks like brads or pearls, whatever you want. I used it in Ivory for the snow. My flower is from Prima Flowers. I layered 2 and put a pearl from Martha Stewart in the middle. The lace I also picked up at the Scrapfest show.

Stamptacular Sunday Challenge - DT Inspiration

This week we are doing something a little different. We are asking that you take one of the Design Team's projects or cards and use it as inspiration. If you choose to use mine, you can do a book, a recipe card, something in red and green, or something regarding eating. Just don't forget to mention which DT member's project/card you were inspired by.

For my book I have to say that I did it at a retreat that I went to, and was a little dyslexic in putting it together. I mixed my pages up and flipped them over, etc. My trusted leader had to save me on it and really help me put it together. I loved this recipe book. We used some cards purchased at Michaels. We adheared them to cardstock which we put in order with title pages and bound them with a Bind It. For the book I used the Stamping Up stamp set called Voila. We used the stamps that matched the divider pages, rolling pin for cookies, wine and cheese for appetizers, etc. I colored with my Tombow's, water color markers, and added Brads for the buttons on his chef jacket.

Stamptacular Sunday Challenge - Hide and Seek

This week we are asking you to make a card or project that you can't see the sentiment at first. For my card I use one of my LOTV stamps. I colored it with my copics. My papers are Bo Bunny's A Gift Of Love Line. The colors are stunning for Christmas and this is definately the paper for my Christmas cards. I stamped my sentiment from of my Papertrey Christmas stamp sets. I attached it to elastic and secured it with a brad under my sentiment. I attached my mounted image overtop with a pop dots so it would be higher than the sentiment. I attached some ribbon to the tag so you can pull it out. I added some ribbon and a bow with a couple of Martha Stewart punches. I added some glitter to her fur.

Tilda in the Pumpkin Patch

This week for my card I decided to match the colors in our challenge by making a pop-up card. I've made one before and they were really fun to make. Our colors this week for our color challenge are orange, lime green, white, and purple/black. I used black as I couldn't find paper with purple on it. My paper was My Mind's Eye Blackbird collection. I loved the little trick or treaters. For my image I colored a Witch Tilda from last October's Halloween release. I used my copics to color her and added black prisma glitter to her hat. I printed pumpkin images from the computer and colored them with the copics also. I pop dotted the center of the pumpkin. For my tree I found a tree image on my Bloom cartridge for my Cricut and just did the basic part of the tree in black and cut it 4 1/2 "s. I used my bat and grass Martha Stewart punches to add extra. The moon was just a 1 1/2" circle punch of gold glitter paper. My sentiment is from Magnolia as well.

For our challenge this week. You have to create a card or project with the colors Orange, Lime Green, White and Purple/Black. You don't have to just use the Halloween theme, you can create anything as long as you use those colors and don't forget to stamp. Here's the colors.

Stamptacular Sunday Challenge - No Cards Allowed

Well this is going to be an amazing Challenge as over here at Stamptacular Sunday Challenge we are looking for anything but a card this week. This leaves it wide open for you to get those creative juices flowing and come up with something amazing and original.

For my project I decided to do a trick or treat bag for my daughter who's 9. I found a white canvas bag at our local craft store Michaels. I use 3 colors of my Tim Holtz Distressed Inks and dabbed them on my craft pad. I then misted them with water and stuck my hand in the bag and started pressing randomly in different colors until I achieved something I was happy with. After the bag dried, I stamped a black cat, (not sure the stamp company) along the bottom of the bag, and some bats on the bag hear and there. I then didn't think they were black enough so I went over them with my Black Gelly Pen. I added googly eyes to the bats and cats. For my Spiders I put a big blob of Stickles, and with my Gelly Pen I drew the legs and web. I added the googly eyes to them as well. I stamped Happy Halloween with on the bag and went over it again with the Gelly Pen. I also made matching 3" x 3" cards done with the same technic. After I tye dyed the card I stamped some words from a stamp company that I visited out side of New York City. The work block stamp had spiders on it. Then I added different colored Stickles to their bodies on the card.

Friday Sketchers - A Sketch by Aud/ Copic Creations - Colourless Blender

I finally got a chance to color up my beautiful new images. This little darling is called Birdie. This amazingly gorgeous image can be found at my new favorite spot Phindy's Place. She has the most amazing images. You'll see them popping up here and there as I'm totally hooked and will be coloring them up madly. I used my copics for this little one and finally got to use my new favorite paper Prima's Jack and Jill. A lot of new favorites today, lol.

I followed the Friday Sketechers sketch this week that looks like this:

I loved the little pull out tag, so I used one of my Cornish Farms sentiments that seemed pretty suitable, Hello Friend.

I'm also entering my card into the Copic Creations Challenge which is to use your colourless blender. On the 1st and 15th of every month they come out with a new challenge that teaches you new techniques. I just love trying them all. I absolutely love my blender and use it so much I bought a spare. I just found a place where I can buy a big refill of the solution for $6.00 Canadian. I am also going to try using the Purell technique suggested by one of the DT.

Well I'm off to Scrapfest in Oshawa, Ontario this am. That's why my post is so early. Hopefully I'll have more new favorites to show you after I spend last weeks paycheque on so more goodies.

Stamptacular Sunday Challenge - BFF

This week at Stamptacular Sunday Challenge we are looking for cards that have BFF on them. BFF's are Buttons, Flowers, and the word Friendship somewhere on the card.

For my card I used the MFT image called Baby It's Cold Outside. I love this image. I colored it with my copics and added tons of Martha Stewart snow on the bottom. My papers are from Daisy Bucket and I edged them with an emerald green that usually comes out lookin more blueish. My flower is from Prima and my snowflake is a Martha Stewart punch. My sentiment for this card is from Cornish Heritage, called friendship.

Stamptacular Sunday Challenge - Layer It On

Happy Sunday to you all. Our fabulous challenge this week is to create a card with at least 5 layers on it. I love layering. My card was made for 2 of my sister DT members. We had a card swap and this is the card that I made for them. I had used my Nicole Heady stamp called Boards and Beams. You can make some amazing houses with this stamp set. My ribbon is also from Nicole Heady. I used a travel pack of paper that I had bought at Michaels. and created many layers. I have pop dotted the tree, and also the sentiment. Layering is fun and you probably find that you're just doing it without thinking.

Stamptacular Sunday Challenge - Season's Change

This week at Stamptacular Sunday Challenge we are looking for cards or projects with just fall colors. You can use as many as you like, but just fall colors. I ended up with a tiny bit of blue in my paper as it was hard to find something with all the colors.

I used the fabulous CC Designs image called Apple Emma. I purchased her at The All That Scraps blog. I love her. I was inspired to use her as I'm on my way to Collingwood for the weekend and it's totally apple season there and they grow the best apples. So I'll be bringing home tons of them. For my project I used a truffle box I had laying around and covered it with this gorgeous paper from We R Memory keepers called Show and Tell. I colored her with my copics. I'm going tomake more for our Thanksgiving dinner table.

A Basic Grey Challenge Card

Well if you haven't heard my oldest boy, Chase 18, has flown the coop for University. I miss him dearly. Last weekend I went out to St. Catherine's to visit him. I found me a really nice hotel right beside the University that gives substantial discounts to parents of Brock University students. Phew. This is now my new stomping ground for the next 4 years. Well, as much as missing him, I am extremely proud of him. He has made good decisions all his life, friends, schooling, girls and this is another notch in his belt. So when I went to visit, I had to drop off a card to him.

This is one of my all time favorite stamps and sentiments from Mo's Digital Pencil. I actually bought the stamp at Stamping Bella when I knew my little man was leaving, knowing this was the card for him. I colored it with my copics, in Chase's favorite colors, orange and blue. He always had an orange backpack. I added a little bit of orange and blue embroidery thread to spruce it up a bit. In the inside is the sentiment that comes with this stamp. Isn't it perfect?

I used my Basic Grey paper called Max and Whiskers. I love the colors of this paper. I used the striped one with it so Chase could see the little paw prints and remember his dog Scooter while he's gone.

I rotated it and I think missed one layer, but tried to get it as close to the sketch as possible. Hope Chase likes it. This is my boy!!

Stamptacular Sunday Challenge - Grid Card

This week at Stamptacular Sunday Challenge we are looking for grid cards. This means that you can have a grid design anywhere on your card. It could be your paper, your ribbon, anything. We have the fabulous Simon Says as our sponsor this week. This is their fabulous prize:

For my card I used some of Paper Trey's shimmer paper and put it into my score pal on an angle and scored diamonds on it. On the crosses of the grids I added pearls. For my card I stamped Paper Trey's Made Of Snow Stamp where you build your own snowman. I shaded him with my copics and used some light blue to stamp his scarf, which I pop dotted. I stamped the middle of the card with one of the sentiments from the same set.

I can't wait to see what you come up with for your grid card. Get creative as our design team has.

Lily Of The Valley Challenge - A Sketch

Today I finally got some time to play with my baby Lily Of The Valleys. I love these little darlings. This is the Baby Girl stamp that I bought. I enjoyed coloring them so much. I decided to color them with my Derwent pencil crayons and mineral spirits. I haven't pulled them out for a little while, and it was fun to get into them again, but I sure missed my copics and the brightness that they give. I used some old paper that I had won at a crop and it doesn't have any name on it, sorry. I added some Prima flowers and Magnolia rosebuds. I twirled the leftover metal from the flowers into little swirls and added them on. I put a pink rhinestone on the wheels and one on her bow and she was all done. I hope you like it, I sure enjoyed making it. I'm entering it into the Lily Of The Valley challenge which is this fabulous sketch.

Wild Orchid Crafts Challenge

Happy Monday to you all. This morning I am posting a card that was a mistake for one of my Stamptacular Sunday Challenge. It was supposed to be with a MFT stamp, and I used this darling Elizabeth Bell stamp called Bubbles. I added liquid glass to the bubbles and then glittered them. I used my Nestabilities to cut it out. The sentiment is just typed from my computer. I'm not sure what the patterned paper is as it was in my stash, but the dots paper is Bo Bunny dots. I added some ribbon that I bought at a little shop here in my area, and a pin and beads so I could enter my card into the Wild Orchid Crafts Challenge that is Pearls and Pins this week.

Stamptacular Sunday Challenge - A Sketch

This week we have a fabulous sketch for you to follow, or be creative with. I love sketches, they always give me a guide. Here's the great sketch we have:

I rotated it for my card. I also used the beautiful image from Mo's Digital Pencil called Bye Bye. I just love her. She so reminds me of my little girls, who are now big girls, 19 and 9, riding on their little trikes with not a care in the world. The sentiment is from Mo's also and is a quote from Dr. Suess. I used the paper We R Memory Keepers called Hippity Hoppity. It has great colors. I colored my little darling with my copics and added stickles to the fur on her collar so it looked furry and glittery. My bow is from Nicole Heady's Papertrey company. Fabulous ribbon there.

Stamptacular Sunday Challenge - Distress

This week we are looking for distressed cards. I struggle with this technique all the time. I never really know what to do and what exactly is considered distressed. So how I handled it was I scraped all my papers around the edges with sandpaper. Unfortunately it doesn't show too much. For my card I used my new paper pack called Oliver by Basic Grey. I love the boyish colors in this line of papers. My image is from the fabulous stamp company Lily Of The Valley. He's called "Gone Fishing". I think he's darling. I colored him with my copics. I added some twine, and threw a little fish charm from my sash on the twine.

Stamptacular Sunday Challenge - Pretty In Pink

This Sunday at Stamptacular Sunday Challenge we are doing cards that are Pretty In Pink. We need you to use just pink on your card. (I cheated and added a touch of brown to my bench and a smidgen of green to the grass.) I used my Imaginisce papers called The Fairest Of All. For my image I used the fabulous Mo Manning's Lacie with Ice Cream that I bought at Stamping Bella. I colored her with my copics and added glitter everywhere I could. I pop dotted the image to allow room for all the layers and ribbon. I used ribbon from PaperTrey. I added some Magnolia flowers and added stickles to the edge of the petals. I punched out some matching greenery in pink and white, and put on a couple of loose buttons from my stash.This week we are sponsored by the fabulous Magnolialicious . Stamptacular Sunday Challenge - Two's Better Than One

For my project I used a paint can that I had bought many moons ago from our local scrapbooking store. I have been sitting on it for a while as I wasn't quite sure how to finish it off. It finally came to me with this challenge to create a 3 dimensional winter scene. I used a winter scene from Magnolia that I had bought a while back. I also used this wintery Tilda, but can't find her on Magnolia's site to get the name for you. I just loved her winter jacket and hat. I colored both with my copics. I didn't have the right material for the bottom that I wanted so I just glued down some white felt and added Martha Stewart glitter on it to get it to shimmer like snow. On the outside of the can I added white rub on snowflakes to finish it up. I added bits of ribbon tied on the handles for a final touch.

I'm also entering my paint can into the Winter Wonderland Challenge which is Walking In A Winter Wonderland. (Create a scene).

Also All that Scraps has now a new Magnolia Stamp Challenge and this week is their first challenge and it is anything Tilda, Edwin, etc.

Well pull out all those stamps and let's see what you can create with more than one stamp.

Stamptaculuar Sunday Challenge - Buttons and Bows

Isn't this going to be a fun challenge. Who doesn't love buttons and bows. We would love to see what you can create with them. Our design team came up with some great cards and projects. For my card this week I used another of my amazing Lily Of The Valley stamps. This little guy is called Baby Blanket. I'm going to start doing more cards that I can send off here. I always seem to need baby cards, and lately all boy ones. So I created this little guy, which I'm sure will be gone soon, as they all seem to be having boys. I used my nestibilities to cut him out and used the fabulous paper line from Bella Blvd. called Skipping Stones. I added the most amazing ribbon from Nicole Heady's Paper Trey and put a button in the middle with a soother charm that I got from Stamping Bella. The buttons were just random ones I had burried in the stash. I added embroidery thread to the buttons, yellow on the blue buttons and blue on the yellow buttons. Of course he was colored with my copics.

I hope everyone has been having a safe summer, with lots of hot weather like we've been experiencing in Canada. This is the most I've used my air conditioning ever, and the most use I've ever gotten out of my pool. Usually by now the nights are so cool that the days can't heat it up enough. I couldn't have had a better summer.

Magnolia Down Under - Easel Card

Happy Friday to you all. Over at Magnolia Down Under they're asking for easel cards. I had actually started this card for Magnolia Stamp Lovers as they were asking for nautical cards. I didn't get this done in time for that and then saw Magnolia Down Under was doing easel cards, one of my favorites.

I had pulled out one of my Cricut cartridges called "Life's A Beach". On the cartridge it had a life ring. I increased the size of it to 6" and created this life ring. I then turned it into an easel card for the Magnolia Down Under challenge. I added some paper from Gartner's Voyage collection. I had bought this paper pack for my cruise layouts, but haven't gotten to them yet. I added some white nautical rope that was on one of our pool toys, (not anymore, lol). I googled nautical knots and tied a square reef knot on the inside of the card.

The beautiful Tilda is from the pirate collection called Pirate Tilda and colored her with my copics.

Well hope everyone is having a great day wherever you are. It is again, beautiful and hot here in Canada, so I'm off to the pool.

For my card I used Basic Grey's paper line Green At Heart. I used my Pure Innocence Stamp - Blooming Good Day. I've had her colored for a very long time, so it's nice to see her put together into a card. I colored her with my copics added some glitter on the watering can and water. I put a rhinestone in the middle of the flower. My sentiment on the tag is from My Sentiments Exactly's set called Birdie Bonnet. The ribbon is more of the ribbon I won in a challenge.

Hope it's not to hot where you are. I know that I have used my pool more this summer than I have in years and I am so loving that. Keep cool, wherever you are.

For my challenge I used MFT's image "Friends Furever". It is just darling and it comes with the bone and I typed the sentiment in it. I used the same paper pack as my last card as it's great for pet cards. It is from Basic Grey and is called May and Whiskers. I colored with my copics to match the paper and added some embroidery thread to match the little guys shirt. I used some brown rick rack from CTMH and tied the dog bone sentiment on with some twine.

I'm sure you'll come up with tons of ideas for little boy cards and I can't wait to see them. I'm off on vacation this week to Conniticut to see my sister and brother in law, and hit New York City for the first time. Hopefully I find a scrapbooking store along the way. LOL.

For my card I colored Di's Kaboodle with Daisies. I thought she was darling. Di allowed the design team to pick a free digital and I loved this little kitty. Then I found out our challenge for the week of Di's prize offer was Out Of This World, and I drew a complete blank as to how I was going to incorporate this darling into something out of this world. Finally I decided to make a sentiment that said "You're Outta This World" Hope that works.

I colored Kaboodle with my Copics and added some usual glitter to the image. My paper pack is fromBasic Grey and is called May and WhiskerrsI added some lace that I won in a challenge and tied it off with some twine she had around the lace.

Lili Of The Valley #58 - A Sketch By Bev

Over at Lili Of The Valley this week, Challenge #58 is a sketch by Bev. Here is Bev's fabulous sketch.
I just couldn't wait to color up the most beautiful stamp I've seen in a long time. I colored up my little darling called "Christmas Candle". I'm so glad that I jumped on these images immediately because this one and many others are completely sold out. But don't fret, more stock is coming in. I colored my baby girl with my copics and added liquid glass on the fur around her face and the pom poms on her scarf. I added glitter to the top of the liquid glass and let it dry. What a great affect you can achieve. I added Martha Stewart snow to the ground to really give it some dimension. I mounted my image on white glitter paper. I created my snowflakes with a combination of Nestibilities snowflake dies and my Martha Stewart die. I added a Doodle Bug Glitter brad in the middle. My bow was created out of some sheer ribbon that I picked up somewhere and in the middle I punched out 2 greeneries with my Martha Stewart punch. I added flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts, and added clear glitter stickles to the petals on the flowers. The 3 red baubbles are from Stamping Bella.

My papers were from an amazing paper pack I bought from S.E.I. at Michaels called Winter's Song. I can't wait to get more cards done with some of the other designs papers in the pack.

Well off for a swim, it's getting hot here and the hot flashes don't add much to that. Enjoy the rest of your day.

For my creation I found this fabulous tutorial on how to make snowflakes. You can follow the tutorial HERE on You tube. It's actually very easy, and tons of fun. For my snowflakes I used what I think is Heidi Grace papers. I had trimmed off the label and can't find it. Geez. I stamped out my Juggling Penguins stamp from Elzybells. I colored him with my copics, and added puff paint for the snow balls and the pom pom on his hat. I then put some glitter on the puff paint, and some stickles on the snow. Finally I cut out a scalloped and mounted the penguin on it. I added rhinestones around te circle to finish it off with a final loop of sheer CTMH ribbon for the hanger.

Well get moving on those Christmas cards and get lots entered this week in our challenge for many chances at our prize.

A Baby Boy Hanglar Stanglar

Well here is my little boy all done up. I used the same paper pack for him as I did for the little girl one on the post below. Colored him with my copics. I found some glitter paper in a matching green and cut out the template with my Nesties. My tag is home made with a sugar coated brad from Doodle Bug. My sentiment is again from My Sentiments Exactly, and the buttons are from Papertrey. Let's not forget the glitter, anywhere I could put it. LOL. A Baby Girl Hanglar Stanglar

Well finally had time to play in the inspiration room with my 2 new baby Hanglar Stanglars that I found on EBay. For my first card I am entering it into a couple of challenges. I am entering it into the Lovely Hanglar Only Challenge #4 where they are looking for Glitter!!! I added glitter all over on this little baby girl.

I'm also entering it into the Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge #65 where they have this fabulous sketch to follow:
The twist to their challenge this week is that you have to use a tag on your card. They also have a fabulous prize this week, get a free stamp set from Sweet and Sassy. For every 30 entries they will add another set. So get some cards in there ladies.

Well what a fabulous Tuesday here in Ontario. Not quite as hot as it has been but still enough that I'm heading into the pool for the rest of the afternoon. Before I head off I wanted to get my post up for today.

I chose to follow the fabulous sketch at Just Magnolia by the talented Bev. Here's the sketch:

My Card also qualifies for the Wild Orchid Challenge - Say it with Flowers.

Finally I'm entering it as well into Fussy and Fancy Friday's Challenge where they're looking for cards with Stitches, Scallops and Sparkle.

For my card I used the most amazing Tilda yet, Ballerina Tilda. I just love her and this is my first chance to finally color her up. I was looking for the right papers to match her. These Heidi Grace papers called Flower Rings were perfect. I used my MS boarder punch called Daisy Edge punch. I colored her with my copics and added tons of glitter. I put a Martha Stewart wedding gem on her tiara. My sentiment is from Stamping Bella, and is one of my favorites. My ribbon is from CTMH, and the flowers are Prisma Flowers. I added greenery from my MS punch again.

Hope you like it. I am dying from this heat as hubby seems to always come home, from working in air conditioning I might add, to turning off the air conditioning at home where 5 of us suffer all day. Try surviving that with hot flashes, so I'm heading into the pool. I'll be thinking about you all as I'm cooling down this afternoon.

Stamptacular's Ice Cream Sunday Day and Friday Sketchers

I scream, You scream, We all scream for Ice Cream!!!!

This week at Stamptacular Sunday Challenge we are looking for cards made with your favorite ice cream colors. For my card I was torn between Strawberry and Cotton candy. I found paper that had strawberries on it and brought in the red on my fabulous Some Odd Girl image and then the blues were for the Cotton Candy. I used October Afternoon papers from an 8 x 8" pad called Fly A Kite. I just loved the line, it has vintage looking papers and ginghams, just awesome. My sentiment is from Stamping Bella and I colored my image with my copics.

2 Cards for 3 Challenges

Well I finally made time to go down to the inspiration room and turn some of my colored images into cards. I have been busy coloring away, but the weather's been so hot here in Ontario that I've been enjoying everyday in my 97 degree pool. I have so many images colored yet no cards were being produced. Finally last night I decided it was time to create, and I had so much fun putting cards together I had to share 2 with you this morning.
My first card was made for 2 challenges All That Scraps which had a sketch challenge. Here's the sketch:For this challenge I used some paper that I had bought for my Disney layouts made by Queen & Co. called Magic Stripes and Magic Polka Dots. I used a Jenni Bowlin Memo Note Pad and made a checklist with my pen of what you might not like to forget to take to the beach. I colored my CC Design image called Honey Bikini. Isn't she darling. I added glitter to her glasses and brown fun flock to the sand. I colored her with my copics. I added some gorgeous gingham ribbon from Papertrey and some embellishments, a Making Memories Pin, a charm from Stamping Bella and a paper clip from Close to My Heart.
I also did this card in Black, White and Red for the Crazy 4 Challenges Challenge this week where you had to make a card with these colors.
My second card was for the new challeng by Wild Orchid Crafts. They are a new challenge blog and I thought it would be fun to enter their first challenge which is Flowers. No problem there, I have tons.
For this card I used paper from Lullaby Lane and Life's Portraits. My stamp is from the amazing Elizabeth Bell called New Friends. I just love these stamps. They ink up beautifully. I colored her with my copics and added a little glitter. For the green backing piece I stamped it with CTMH's New Leaf ink and used a Prima stamp that I bought at Scrapfest with musical notes on it. I added some ribbon that I'd won in a challenge and my flowers and teardrops are from Magnolia. I added stickles onto my flowers. On the inside of the card I used some co-ordinating paper and some ribbon I had laying around. My sentiment is from Mona Lisa Moments and says:

There is no distance too far between friends
for friendship gives wings to the heart.

I thought this was perfect for this card with the little bird. Well off to the dentist. Hopefully I get more created tonight.

Stamptacular Sunday Challenge - A Sketch

Well here's an easy peasy one for you this week. We have a sketch for you. Here's the sketch. You can flip it or turn it or whatever else you can creatively think to do with it.

For my card I used my new Lily Of The Valley stamp called Mirror Mirror. Isn't she darling. I have a picture of my oldest when she was a baby with a white mop head on her head and a straw hat on top sitting and looking in the mirror at herself. I will try and dig it up and add it to my post. However this stamp sure reminded me of her so that is why it is now in my collection. I colored her with my copics and added some glitter on her bows, pearls and on the mirror. I cut it out with my Nesibilities and added a couple of rhinestones. I could not find something that would fit with my card as the thin strip that comes down, so I just omitted it out. Sssshhhh. Don't tell the boss. LOL. My paper is American Crafts line called I Do. Isn't it beautiful? My sentiment is just typed from the computer onto cardstock and cut out with the same Nestie as below it. Our prize this week is from the amazing company called:

Stamptacular Sunday Challenge - Aperture Card

This week at Stamptacular Sunday Challenge we are looking for cards with Aperture's. That is cards with a holes on the front and the image on the inside of the card. One of our regular sponsors MY FAVORITE THINGS gave each of the DT members a fabulous gift. They let us pick out some stamps. This is one of the fabulous stamps that I picked out. I just thought she was so summery and being the first week of July I thought she was perfect for this challenge. She is called Birthday Balloon Jolinne. I used my Twitterpated paper called Admire. I love the bright flowers on it. I used my Nestibilities to cut out the hole on the front of the card.
I stamped Jolinne and colored her with my copics to match the paper. I used glossy accents on the balloons and stamped them a second time and glossy accented them as well. I put the cut out ones on the front of the card to give it more dimension. I added a little flower sticker to the necklace to replace the stamped one.

All That Scraps - Box In A Bag

Over at All That Scraps Challenge Blog they have a cute project for a challenge. You have to make a box in a bag and decorate it with a CC Design stamp and however else you like. You can find the tutorial at SCS here. For my box in a bag I used my Sandbucket Trevor stamp. I colored him with my copics and added some glitter on the shells and stars. I used my Martha Stewart boarder punch called Beach Shells. I also added a boarder to the top. I tied it up with some shear blue ribbon to finish off my box in a bag. Isn't it darling. Why not follow the tutorial and make one for yourself. They are really fun to decorate.

Papertake Weekly - In Stitches / The Sweet Stop - A Sketch / Stamping Bella - A Square Card

Well today is Canada Day here in my country. I really should have done a red and white card with maple leafs on it, but I didn't. I've come down with one heck of a bug. I feel all chilly and feverish, and my throat is just killing me. A teaspoon of honey every couple of hours is the only thing that is helping, and rest of course. I've really done nothing all day except take the picture of my card, and a couple others I finished last night in the wee hours of the morning because I slept from this cold all day and couldn't sleep at night. LOL.
This card was done for 3 challenges. Papertake Weekly Challenge is looking for stitching on your cards, The Sweet Stop has this sketch to follow:
and Stamping Bella is looking for square cards. For this card I used the Stamping Bella image Daisy Balloon. I colored it with my copics to match the fantastic Basic Grey paper Kioshi. I think this is one of the prettiest lines of papers Basic Grey has come out with in a long time. I just love the colors in it. I cut out my image and the squares with one of my Nestibilities. I punched a boarder out with my Martha Stewart punch called Daisy Edge and added some purple ribbon I had laying around on top. I added a floral button that I just got at Michael's last week, and of course some glitter. What is a card without glitter. Anyways I hope everyone is having a fabulous day wherever you are. The weather here is now gorgeous and sunny. Perfect for Canada Day celebrations.

Sharing my Graduates with you all.

Here is a picture of hubby, myself and my 2 kids. Just thought I'd share. My Daughter received an award for Hair and Aestetics, and Technology. My Son received Honors and got a $400 scholarship from a local accountant to pursue accounting in Sports. What a proud mommy, but also so releived that it's all over. On to the next hurdle.

Stamptacular Sunday Challenge - Stars and Stripes

Well I'm a day late, but have been up to my ears in graduation stuff, which I'm sure you're tired of hearing this excuse. I had a party yesterday for my 3 graduates and spent days getting ready for all the people that came over. I have my last graduation tomorrow evening for my 2 high school graduates and then life is back to normal. Nevertheless, I did finally complete my card.
Stamptacular Sunday Challenge this week is looking for cards with Stars and Stripes on it to celebrate the United States Of America's Independance Day on the upcoming date of July 4th. In Canada our big day is July 1st. We are looking for cards with stars and stripes on them, but they don't necessarily have to be red, white and blue.

For my card I used some paper that I purchased at Michaels last summer and had put away just for Independance cards for this year. I stamped one of the most beautiful stamp sets I own, Papertrey's Vintage Picnic. I love how this set comes with 6 baskets, a couple of napkins, and tons of items to stamp for the inside of the basket, from Christmas to Fall Harvest and everything inbetween. One of them of course is this 4th of July insert. This set is a must have. What I tried to do with my card was to design it like the American flag. I turned it into an easel card, one of my favorite designs.

My American neighbours are one of the proudest countries that I have visited. When I think of the 4th of July celebrations they have, I envision picnics and fireworks, and lots of flags. I hope my card was able to portray that.

Stamptacular Sunday Challenge - Cute As A Bug

For my card I used this darling stamp from Stamping Bella, (a Mo's Digital Design). I just love this darling little one riding away on her trike. I am giving this card to my little Shelby, who has had pigtails all through her primary years. (We're now down to just a ponytail since she's a big 8 years old now). What a fabulous sentiment that comes with her. I love Dr. Seuss. I have read mostly every book to all 4 of my kids. The saying "Oh the places you'll go" is so suited for a graduation card, or just a passing a grade card. I used Bo Bunny dots paper in a pinky peach color and some teal polka dot paper from Papertrey Inc. My design paper is from Imaginisce called Twitterpated - Critter Chatter. I used my copics for coloring, and added some ribbon bought at Michaels with a little button on the top.

More True Fit Folios

Well I decided to post 6 today as that is the last of the ones I made for my daughter. I absolutely love her grade 11 one. I was able to match the paper to her hair, and her grade 12 graduation picture is absolutely gorgeous. (That's my girl!!) Again most papers are Close To My Heart papers. I used the True Fit Folios and covered them with design papers on the outside and cardstock on the inside, clipped the corner so you can see it's a pocket for placing special memorabilia or report cards in, and added 11 brads, 7 on the left and 4 on the right to hold it together. You don't really need to add the brads if you are putting in in an album because the sleeve will hold everything in, I just wanted to make sure papers don't fall out the sides when the kids take the folders out.

I am missing 2 years of Sarah, grade 10 and 12. I took a picture of her student card for the grade 12 picture, it's a little blurry as I'm blowing a wallet size up to a 5 x 7" picture. I'm going to make a few calls to some friends I have that are really handy with computer programs and see if there's some way I can fix it. I didn't purchase that year apparently. Not sure what I'm going to do with her grade 10 picture as she can't find her student card and the school neglected to put her picture in the year book.

I'll post some of my son's on Monday.

True Fit Folios Continued

Well here's another 5 done for my 19 year old daughters graduation present on June 28th. I buy the True Fit Folios from Close To My Heart. I trim the right hand corner of the front page to curve it. I then pick paper that matches my kids outfits. Most of the papers I used are Close To My Heart as I've been buying up tons of paper packs over the years and not using them. I cut out 2 circles with my circle nestibilities. The big one and one of the middle circles are the 2 I used. I stamped them with Close To My Heart stamp sets. I lined the inside with a co-ordinating card stock and matched that to the front for the strip and grade #'s which were cut out with my Cricut Expressions. I added 11 brads on the sides to close them. Inside I will fill them with report cards, awards, etc. The co-ordinating pages will include special moments, highlights, friends lists, etc.

True Fit Folios

I am sorry that I've been MIA for the past while. I have mentioned that I have 3 of my 4 kids graduating this month. My 2 oldest are graduating from grade 12, Sarah a year late, but none the less there, Chase grade 12 with honors, Austin from grade 8.I have volunteered to decorate Austin's graduation and we're doing totally new things for the kids. Their theme is Hollywood. I have made the following bags x 54 kids, each with their names on them. They will have inside a disposable camera to take photos with, a graduation frame to put a picture in, and a customized autograph book with their school name and class of 2010 on it. Here's the bags I have made with the help of my friend Christine from Dol Creations:I have also cut 54 large stars out of bristol board and alternated the kids names in gold and silver glitter paper. I had the school laminate them and they will go from the front door to the gym like the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
I also had my son's Prom, and here's a picture of us:

Finally I have desperately been working on my graduation gifts for the 3 midgets. I am making memory books for them out of these True Fit Folios from Close To My Heart. They are pockets that you can put memorabilia in. I was inspired by Vicki from Wizard's Hangout. Thanks Vicki for your inspiration. I did all the folders the same layout to speed things up as I had to do one for every year for all 3 graduates. I will do little Shelby's later when there's more time. I'm still missing a couple of photos, which I'm working on finding, and the composite pages are being worked on as we speak. I am going to show 5 per day as I've got so many done. I would like to get these albums done soon as not only are they time consuming, they are costing me a small fortune in prints, paper, albums, etc. However, the memories for the kids are worth every minute and dime. Here's 5 from my daughter Sarah's book.

Stamptacular Sunday Challenge - A Tribute To Fathers

Well everyone my card was a bit hard to make as I didn't really want to have to reminisce about my Dad who I lost 3 years ago, so I made it for hubby from the kids. Our challenge this week pays tribute to the wonderful fathers who are mentors to their kids. We are looking for cards that are a tribute to men/dad's around the world. For my card I had taken a course on my Cricut. I needed to get to know my Cricut cutter a little better, so I am taking this fantastic course and in it we learned to make this little card. I decided to make mine my Father's Day card for my kids to give their Dad. I love the little pocket we made and also how we lined it. I printed off the Mr. Fix It from the computer and glued it onto my tag. I'm pretty sure the paper is from Basic Grey, but I didn't get a strip on my sheet to see. I cut the Dad out with one of the fonts, I think Plantin Schoolhouse. I added the rhinestones to the letters for looks. I used the image Mr. Fix It from Karen's Doodles. This was the perfect image for my husband. He's always got his head in one of the cars somewhere in the garage. I sometimes see more of his backside on a good weekend.

Stamptacular Sunday Challenge - I Do, I Do, I Do

At Stamptacular Sunday Challenge we are celebrating the June bride with our challenge ofI Do, I Do, I Do!! We are offering this fabulous prize from:

For my project I decided to create a wedding cake with my CC Design bride. I used white cardstock and cut 3 strips, 1 x 3", 1 x 2", and 1 x 1". I glued the 3" strip into a loop and traced a circle with an extra 1/2 on the outside of the circle which I scored so I could bend it inside the loop to create top off the layer. I repeated the same thing with the 2" and 1"strips only with them I made each one smaller than the rest. Once I had my 3 tiered cake, I added strips of cream cardstock punced out with different Martha Stewart punches I have. On the first one I used the Marth Stewart's Deep Edger Border Punch - Garden Trellis. On the second layer I used the Half Daisy punch, but added some of the Garden Trellis to the edge of that to keep it flowing into the first layer. For the final layer I used the Arched Lattice punch. On the crosses I added a dollop of stickles on each joint. I added pearls around the lower edges of each tier.

I placed flowers on each layer. I finished it off with my bride, CC Designs, on the top of the cake, and placed cream flowers around the base of her dress.

What a fun challenge it is as everyone needs a few wedding or anniversary cards in the stash, so let's see what you have up your sleeves.

Stamptacular Sunday Challenge - Life's A Beach

This week at Stamptacular Sunday Challenge we are doing cards and projects that show how Life is a Beach. We have a fabulous sponsor and we all used her fabulous digitals for this weeks challenge. Our sponsor this week is

For my card I chose the image called Cocktails. I couldn't think of anything more to do on the beach then sit back with a fabulous dacquari. Shirley allowed us all to chose a digital to use in the challenge, how generous.

For my image I colored with copics. I added liquid glass over all three glasses to make them look real. On the rim of the Dacquari and Margaritta I added a line of glue and sprinkled some martha stewart snow to look like someone sugared/salted the rims. I then added some glitter on the swirls. For the ground I added some brown fun flock to give it a sandy look. I used a sentiment from Cornish Heritage Farms. They have the absolute best sentiments. I was able to use my new Martha Stewart sea punch for the strip done with Bo Bunny dots. My striped paper is from 3 Bugs In A Rug and is called Savannah. I used some coral cardstock and ran it through my Big Shot in a Divine Swirl Cuttlebug Embossing Folder because it looked like waves to me.

This is a fun summery challenge and I look forward to seeing what you all create.

I know I've been a little blog shy lately but just letting my blogger friends know that I am working on 3 big projects for my kids, school albums with all their school pictures and it's consuming most of my time. I hope to be back in action in the next couple of weeks when the big project is over. I have 3 kids graduating school this June and am preparring their graduation gifts. I miss getting time to just sit and color. Hasn't stopped me from buying though, lol.

For my card I used my new Princess Collection stamps from Magnolia. I used the Castle Window and Lady Tilda to make my card. I use my copics and my latest paper pack collection from Basic Grey called Two Scoops. The papers are gorgeous. I decided to make it like Lady Tilda was looking out her castle window for her prince charming. I added tons of flowers from Magnolia onto my card with some pearls and greenery punched out with my Martha Stewart punch. I put my gorgeous Papertrey ribbon on, and added some swirls to the inside of my card and it was complete.

Stamptacular Sunday Challenge - Lovely As A Tree

Sorry for the late entry everyone. I was away scrapbooking for the weekend. I could not get my card to be a scheduled post. I've had the directions sent to me a couple of times, but it works sometimes and doesn't others. I took a chance that I'd get a signal on my laptop when I was there, but that didn't happen, so here it is, a little late, but here none the less.

Well this week at Stamptacular Sunday Challenge we are honoring trees. Today is "Love A Tree" day. What a fabulous idea to make a card with a tree on it. Our sponsor this week is the fabulous

For my card I used my new Magnolia Princess image and also used a Magnolia tree. I colored them with my copics. I added glitter to her gloves and some to the flowers on the Magnolia tree. My design paper is from Basic Grey. I again tried a simple card, but I think this one was a bit too simple for me. LOL. More embellises on the next one.

Papertake Weekly - Shiny, Sparkly and Special/ Cute Card Thursday - Someone Special

Happy Friday everyone. I'm posting this quick card, then I'm off to Collingwood for 3 days of scrapping and fun. Going to get my graduation books done for my 3 graduations I have coming up in June.

I love this little Pixie. She's a C.C. Designs Swiss Pixie called "Lady Bug Nora". She's a Digi available from All That Scraps. I used Cosmo Cricket's Dutch Girl paper. I love the polka dot paper, it has mushroom like coloring. I colored her with my copics, added tons of glitter and some rhinestones, a small ribbon and bow tied with soft blue sheer ribbon. I added a pretty crocheted flower to the center of the bow. I'm really stearing towards simple cards. I find that it is difficult to keep it simple as we really tend to add lots of embellishments on all our cards. To slow it down is really hard.

I'm entering this one into 2 challenges. At Papertake Weekly they are looking for cards with lots of shine and sparkle. Cute Card Thursday is looking for card for someone special. This card is for a dear friend who celebrated her birthday lately and also is cooking gormet food where I'm going this weekend. Happy Birthday Teresa. Of course lots of bling for Papertake Weekly.

A Mother's Day Card From My Darling Daughter

Well normally I would never do this, show a card my kids made, but this one was made by my 19 year old who absolutely hates scrapbooking and card making. She can barely look at the cards I make when I proudly show her each one. She bugs me about how much I spend on my hobby and retreats to do it in, LOL. But looky here!!! Who's talent is rubbing off. Brag brag. This is an old Hanglar stamped image that I'd colored and wasn't very happy with. She found it in the inspiration room and started making my card with it. Hubby said she was down there for 3 hours creating. She mentioned that she pulled out some of my old cards to see how I put them together, but I have to say, the design is all her. I think the patterned paper is Kaiser Craft, but she used the last of it that I can find. I love how she punched out the greenery and added in the purple flower rhinestones to look like floral bushes. I also got the inspiration to use this Martha Stewart punch for coral in a swimming or beach layout. (Wouldn't have gotten that idea without the bushes staring at me). Thank you Sarah!! I love how she angled the cuts on her papers, and added the 2 ribbons together. She found some gold puff letters and spelled the Mom and it's straight. She couldn't even use a ruler in school. Wow, what a card. There's talent hidden in all the stubborness. One day she will see the light. Just had to share, hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Stamptacular Sunday Challenge - A Sketch

This week at Stamptacular Sunday Challenge we have a sketch for you to follow. It is a great design and this is what we're looking for:

For my card I used a plaid design paper by Little Yellow Bicycle called Baby Safari 2, and the orange design paper is Jackson Lodge Sparks. My stamp is called Ethan Lollipop and is available from the fabulous Stamping Bella. My sentiment is from My Sentiments Exactly. I colored my Ethan with my copics and added some blue rick rack. I just added some of the papers on the inside and finished it with a verse from the same sentiment pack from MSE.

Crazy 4 Challenges - A Sketch / Oh Alice Challenge - A Card For A Child / Copic Creations - Color on other surfaces

I made this card for my 2 little ballerinas that have their recital all weekend. I used an Elizabeth Bell stamp that I purchasedd a little while ago. I used a bunch of different papers for this one. I used Heidi Grace - Only time which is the floral paper, and the 2 purples are from Making Memories- Purple Solid Dark, and the polka dot paper is Doodlebug's - Plum Sprinkles. My sentiment is from Stamping Bella, one of my favorite sentiments from them. I colored with my copics to match my girls ballet and jazz outfits this year. Here they are:
I added tons of glitter as what's a ballet recital without glitter. For Crazy 4 Challenges they have a sketch to follow, here it is:
I made a card for a child so this fits into the Oh Alice Challenge this week, and for Copic Creations they want you to color on something different, so I colored my tulle to match my cards with my purple and blue copics. Well just a quick entry as I'm off for the last recital of the year, at 4:00.

I find Mother's Day cards and projects hard to do as I lost my wonderful Mom in 93 to the horrible disease of breast cancer. My mom was extremely talented. She played guitar, painted water colors, oils, pastels, anything she could dabble in she did. So to try to take away from that I decided to make my project for me. I am a mom, a really busy one, but a mom indeed.

My older son finished hockey this spring. He's played since he was 4, so this year was hard for me knowing it was over. However I did still have one very talented hockey player left. Not so. He has informed me that he is done with hockey and doesn't want to go back. Maybe next year was the best I got. So all the money, (and believe me, with 2 boys in rep hockey, there's tons of money spent) that would have been spent on hockey has now been rerouted to my new jar, Mom's new fund. This will now be used soley for scrapbooking retreats. I figure that means at least 4 per year. Besides now I won't be at the rink every weekend, so that frees up the time for me to go. Time to celebrate!!

For my project I used Basic Grey - Wisteria paper. Coincidently I happened to use a Stamping Bella stamp, which totally was not planned. I colored her with my copics, and mounted her with my nestibilities. I then added her to a strip of co-ordinating paper and wrapped it around my jar. I added a bit of ribbon around and pulled the ends up through a purplle button. I then took some plastic skates that I had purchesed somewhere along the lines and glittered them with purple glitter dust. I tied the bow through them. I added some lace around the rim, wrote out on the lid with stickles, and finally added purple flowers around the rim.

Papertake Weekly - Something Different / Flutter By Wednesday - Clean and Simple / All That Scraps - Pink and Brown

This little card idea came from an inspiration that I had when I saw this little Nora on a Swing. I envisioned her with the scene in the background on the inside of the card. I colored Nora with my copics and then very carefully cut her out. Some areas I had to use my really sharp Martha Stewart exacto knife, and go very slowly. I used a flower stamp from Magnolia for the inside scene and just repeated it 3 times. I colored my flowers to match Nora, and added some grass along the bottoms. I sponged my sky with a cloud cut out to show the soft puffy clouds that are floating in Nora's beautiful summer sky while she's happily swinging.

My darling 8 year old loves to swing, and is always the first child out of school everyday so she can run like crazy to get on one of the swings at the school playground after school. She makes it everyday, and swings till I make her come home. The funny part is that there is only 3 swings, and she makes it everyday. LOL.

I covered the front of the card with 3 Bugs in a Rug - Chicks Rock polka dot paper and added a strip at the bottom of Bella Blvd. - Nana's apron flower print. I wanted to keep the card clean and simple so I could enter it into Flutter By Wednesday's Clean and Simple Challenge. I used my nestibilities to cut out the opening, I glued down the tree branch, and to give my image stability I added acetate to the back of the opening. On the inside of the card I used Pink Paislee's Postcards Checkered brown paper. I wanted to keep it in the pinks and browns so that with my Nora I could enter my card into All That Scraps Challenge - Pink and Brown. Papertake Weekly is asking for cards where you Do Something Different. My open window scene was different for me, so I'm entering it there as well.

Well it's much warmer here in Ontario this weekend and I'm up to my eyeballs with ballet recitals for my 2 girls. Hopefully I get their recital cards done in time. Hope everyone has a fantastic weekend.

For my card I used a gorgeous stamp. He's a little Hanglar Stanglar clown on a moon. I thought right away about making a perfect baby boy card. I used paper from a S.E.I. paper pack I had bought previously to us in my kids baby books. The paper is from the Chick a Doo collection. I added Bo Bunny dots to the card as well. I colored with my copics, added some glitter to the star, and placed some sheer ribbon across with a little button and there it was.

A Spoon Full Of Sugar Challenge - Birthday's / Papertake Weekly - Dawny P's Sketch

Well TGIF to everyone today. I finally have time to put together some cards with some of my new images. This one is Charlotte! Isn't she just darling. I am such a huge Tim Burton fan, when I saw this image and how she had dolls with buttons for eyes, I just about died. I had to have this image as she's my little Coraline. Coraline is a recent Tim Burton movie with a little girl who finds a make believe family that pays attention to her more than her very busy parents. Only problem is, to stay, she has to let the mom sew buttons on her eyes. (Purely a Tim Burton cartoon). These dolls are my little Coraline's. I colored them with copics and used my Crate Paper Paper Doll Collection to put it all together. The sentiment is for my little one who I always call Dollface. I'm going to put this card away until her birthday in August and have one done for her already. I just typed the sentiment out on the computer and printed it on card stock.

Well today seems to be a nice one outside so I'm off to get some more images colored up and some more posts done. Then on to my graduation gift books that I'm doing for my 3 kids that are graduation this year, two from high school, and one from public school. Hope you have a great day.

Another Birthday Card

Here's another of Austin's 14th birthday cards. For this one I used Crate Paper's Orbit Collection. It is just so boyish, with some great colors in it. On the inside of my card I just covered it with light blue Bazzil cardstock and added the goop punch from Martha Stewart in a simmery blue on the top. I stamped it with a sentiment from My Sentiments Exactly, Birthday collection. On the outside of my card I kept it simple as I really wanted to show the Orbit paper and not cover it up too much. I punched a whole with my tags punch from Nestibilities and stamped the sentiment in a rusty red colored ink. This sentiment is also from the same MSE Birthday set. I used the robot stamps from Stamping Bella. They're called Giga Watt, Kilo Watt and Cakey Watt. Aren't they darling and so perfect for a boy's card. Of course there's glitter here and there to make them shiney robots. Well hope you have a wonderful day. My third birthday card will be shown with an upcoming Stamptacular Sunday Challenge. I hope to have a few more cards done today as I've had such a busy week.

A Boy's Birthday Card

On the weekend my son turned 14. He is my most sensitive son who really appreciates any effort put into something, and adores homemade things. Last year he was sad I didn't make him a card. So on Sunday, his birthday, I was in the inspiration room making 3 cards. I'll show you the other one tomorrow, but the 3rd one is for an upcoming Stamptacular Sunday Challenge. So here's the first one. I used an image from Stamping Bella called SK8R Boy. I used Bo Bunny paper called 12" Grease Monkey. I colored my little guy with my Copics and added some glitter to his glasses. My sentiment is from My Sentiments Exactly. Just a quick card for the day. Hope you enjoy.

One Card Six Challenges

Well happy Thursday everyone. I've been so busy getting my house cleaned up, and working on my sons grade 8 graduation, that I didn't even realize it had been so long since I posted. My apologies. The weather was lovely so I gave the house a good spring clean. You know one of those ones that you even do the inside of cabinets and china buffets. UGH, Well a quick look at my lonely blog this morning and decided to get off the rest period and make a card. This is what I came up with.
For my card I used my Easter fence stamp from Magnolia, and one of my cute little girls from the winter kit, (I think). I colored them with my copics to match this fabulous paper from October Afternoon/Thrift Shop Line. I used tons of punches for this card, all Martha Stewart punches. I used 2 butterfly ones, a flower boarder one and a large lace like one that I have wanted so bad. The final MS punch I used was to make the little flowers which I put pearls from the dollar store in the middle. Oh yeah, I used another one to make the greenery. A lot of punches. The 2 buttons are from Papertrey.

Stamptacular Sunday Challenge - Penguins

This week on April 25th it is World Penguin Day!! In celebration of these fabulous creatures we are celebrating by honoring Penguins in our challenge. We are looking for cards or projects that are honoring penguins. Either you can use a penguin stamp, or just make a card in penguin colors, black and white. Be creative and have some fun with it. For my box I used a template for a round topped box. It was hard to find the template, but I did finally find it on splitcoast stampers, the problem was I couldn't download it. I do have the template if you are really interested, so please e-mail me and I will send it to you. I used Papertrey's Night Sky Shimmer Cardstock to make the box. I then cut a round 2 1/2" circle. For my stamps I used all Elzybells penguin stamps. I colored them with my copics and added lots of glitter to make it shimmer. For the icicles I did not have the icicle boarder punch from Martha Stewart, but what I did have was the Pine Tree boarder punch. I used that one, trimmed off the points on the trees creating triangles, and inverted it to look like icicles. Hope it worked. I punched the icicles out of my Martha Stewart glitter paper that came in an Easter pack of paper that I got at Walmart.

I'm giving this box full of jelly beans to a my friend Jan who is a true penguin lover. I'm spending time with her this weekend, and I know she'll love it.

Stamptacular Sunday Challenge - Spots and Dots

This week at Stamptacular Sunday Challenge our Challenge is Spots and Dots and we are looking for cards with 2 patterned papers with dots on them.

Our sponsor this week is Meljen Digital Images. Over at Meljen's they were fantastically generous this week and donated a digital image to each of the design team members if they wanted to use it in the challenge. I jumped on that one and chose this fabulous sunflower image called sunflower buggies. Isn't it darling. Please take some time to go through Meljen's images as there are just so many fabulous designs and they are so easy to print up and color. I used my copics on this one, and used a black gel pen to color all the dots on the ladybugs and stripes on the bees. I added tons of glitter, a Papertrey ribbon and a fabulous Magnolia flower.

For my papers I used my pink bo bunny paper for the picket fence I cut out with my Martha Stewart fence boarder punch, but it is really hard to see the dots on that one unless you click on the picture. My other paper was from Best Creations called California.

A Spoon Full Of Sugar - One For The Boys

Well over at A Spoon Full Of Sugar they have a challenge called "One For The Boys". I am showing you the last of the 3 cards I made for my son's 18th birthday on Saturday passed.

For this card I used Basic Grey's Lime Rickey paper. I mounted all my sections with random colors of cardstock to match the colors in the Lime Rickey paper. I used an image from the fabulous Emily at Stamping Bella, called SK8R Boy. I colored him with my copics, and cut him out and the mat with one of my Nestibilities. I used some rhinestones I had laying around on the sentiment, but on the image I used some blue baubles for the wheels and around the edges.

On the inside of the card I use the goop punch from Martha Stewart and cut out a co-ordinating paper from the Lime Rickey collection and had it drooping down. Again the sentiment is from Stamping Bella.

We're looking at rain for the next few days with a lovely weekend ahead. I'm off to the ole' Inspiration Room tomorrow for some more creating.

Just Magnolia Week #49 Fold It / Magnolia Down Under - Thank You

My card for the Just Magnolia Challenge which is to have folds in it. I found the turtorial for this card on the Sugar Nellie Blog. Here is the link to make one http://sugarnellie.blogspot.com/2010/03/shaped-card-tutorial-by-tiets.html.

For my card I used Cosmo Cricket's Honey Pie papers. I used some shimmery blue card stock for the base. My image of course is the fabulous Magnolia Cutie Pie Sitting on her Strawberry. My flowers are from Martha Stewart.

Down at Magnolia Down Under they are looking for Thank You cards. I keep entering this challenge, but have not even gotten honorable mention in this challenge. It is almost impossible to win in this challenge as they don't go by random generator, but hand pick the winners. I've been entering since the beginning and have never even receive a top five honor, but I will keep trying as this is now my goal.

Well back to the grind tomorrow. The kids are back in school after a 4 day Easter weekend of absolutely perfect spring weather. Couldn't have asked for anything better. Tomorrow is bowling and Jenny Craig weigh in. (I think it's measuring day as well, oops better get the sit ups in, lol). I'm off to the high school track for a 4 lap jaunt with my girlfriend.

Curious Little Challenge Blog - We're All Mad Here / Crazy 4 Challenges - Kraft Stock / Stamp With Fun - Recipe 3 papers 3 flowers 2 buttons

For my card I used the fabulous Digi Image from Spesch. Of course it's the Mad Hatter. I am such a Tim Burton fan and the new Alice movie with my darling Johnny Depp was a killer for me. I'm going back this week to see it again, only this time I'm going alone, no kiddies, and I'm going early enough that I don't have to sit in the first row. I used my Magnolia paper that has been sitting since last summer. It was perfect for this card. I used some sugar coated brads, and some Papertrey black ribbon.

Over at The Curious Little Blog they are doing cards this week that are monochromatic and distressed. I chose my Mad Hatter in the greys and blacks. My paper had white around some of the edges, so I used my white ink pad and rubbed it along the rest of the edges to give it a distressed look.

At Crazy 4 Challenges they want you to make a card using Kraft Card Stock, so that was the base of my card.

Finally at Stamp With Fun they have a great recipe, 3 papers, 3 flowers, and 2 buttons. I added my buttons on the inside of the card so it would fit this challenge. Hope everyone is enjoying their Monday. In Canada it is our Easter Monday. Most businesses are open except the Post Offices, Government offices, and the kids are home from school. We are expecting some rain today.

Stamptacular Sunday Challenge - Sugar and Spice

Stamptacular Sunday Challenge has a fun challenge this week. We are looking for cards or projects that are for little girls. I made a card with my new darling Hanglar girl with her wagon, that a secret and amazing friend purchased for me. Come on Hanglar, let's make these darlings worldwide.

I used Basic Grey's paper Euphoria. I matted my image, colored with my copics, with shimmery mauve cardstock. I added burgandy buttons for the wheels. My sentiment is from My Sentiments Exactly, Babies. I added a couple of little holders to hold it down. Some glitter and purple Papertrey ribbon and it's all done.

Friday Sketchers #96

Well today is my boy's 18th birthday. I managed to get 3 cards done for him. This card I made to enter the Friday Sketchers Challenge of this fabulous sketch:

For this card I used some beautiful paper from 3 Bugs in a Rug called Snips and Snails. It is in great colors and fabulous designes.

I used Stamping Bella's stamp called Dylan Lollipop. I bought him just for my boy's birthdays that are both in April. He comes with a sentiment that says You're so cool. I didn't use that one though, but used another Stamping Bella sentiment Happy Birthday. I made this card simple as I didn't want to poof poof it up too much for a boy. I used some polka dot green ribbon that I had bought at Michaels and a small bow, just to spruce it up.

A Crate Paper Bookmark

This morning I have a bookmark to post. One of the challenges I was going to enter last week was looking for bookmarks. I saw this pattern and decided that it was an awesome bookmark, so I got creative and this is what I came up with.

For the bookmark I used the amazing Crate Paper called Paper Dolls Collection. I colored my CC Design Ice Cream girl with my copics. I added a red rhinestone for the cherry. For the edge of my bookmark I used my loopy edge punch and corner punch for the outside of the bookmark.

I am just throwing up a quickie post. I'm off to work this morning. Hope everyone has a great Thursday.

Stamp With Fun - Sketch/ Magnolia Stamp Lovers - The Color Purple

Well today is turning out to be such a fabulous day. They are calling for temperatures up to 65 degrees. Spring is fast approaching us here in Ontario. Soon the gorgeous tulips will be springing up through the cool black soil, adding colors to the dull, baron gardens. Next will be the ever fragrant lilacs filling the air with their sweet aroma. My two favorite flowers uplift my spirts and fill me with energy to do all kinds of wonderful spring cleaning in my gardens and prepare my backyard for months of enjoyment. Then the bugging starts, the yearly start of nagging hubby to open the pool early so I can look in the back yard and see the beautiful blue of the water and not the depressing black cover on it. Well I hope everyone is having as fabulous a day as we are here.

For my card, I followed the beautiful sketch from Stamp with fun. I used my Martha Stewart Easter paper pack again. I ran the light green piece through the Cricket with the Swiss Dots folder to give it some dimension. I cut my Magnolia basket with my Nestibilities, and colored it with my copics. I colored my Tilda with my copics also and added glitter here and there. I had this lacy ribbon in my stash and added a bow of co-ordinating ribbon . The gems in the corner are from Martha Stewart, and the roses are from Cute Stamp and Card's Magnolia flowers.

Magnolia Stamp Lovers is asking for cards with purple, so I colored Tilda's dress purple and the flowers off the basket in purple also.

Well I'm off to get some more cards done. My lovely son turns 18 on Saturday and I've got 4 cards to make him. I also have 3 sympathy cards to do as well. Have a great day everyone.

Curious Little Challenge Blog - Red Queen's Fine Print / Cute Card Thursday - Dimensions / Papertake Weekly - Open / Friday Sketchers - Sketch

Well here's another Wonderland Challenge card that I designed to fit 3 other challenges as well. For my Queen of Hearts card I used American Crafts I Heart U paper. I colored my Queen of Hearts with my copics and added glitter here and there. The flower paper matched her septor so well I couldn't believe it. My image is from Spesch Digital Images and they have a great line of downloadable images. Take a pop on by and see what they have up there sleeves as they're having a week long release.
For the Wonderland Challenge blog you had to include paper with some kind of print on it. I didn't have any paper like that so I typed out the verse from Alice in Wonderland by the Queen of Hearts where she goes on about "Who's been painting my roses red". I distressed the edges of that with my Tim Holtz Distressed Inks - Vintage Photo. I added some matching pink rick rack ribbon and punched out a couple of hearts in pink glitter paper. My sentiment is from Stamping Bella. They have the best sentiments around.

Over at Cute Card Thursday they are doing dimensions this week, and I've pop dotted the image, the sentiment and the hearts.

At Papertake Weekly it is an open card week. Anything goes.

Friday Sketchers has this fabulous sketch that I followed for my card.

It is a fabulously sunny day here in Ontario and I'm off to my bowling league to burn off a few more calories before the big weigh in at Jenny Craig. Wish me luck.

Just Magnolia-Sketch by Jane/Magnolia-licious - Spring Project with Acetate/ Fussy and Fancy Fridays - Easter / Magnolia Down Under - Stitching

Today I had some fun putting together some creative cards for challenges. For this card I used my Nestibilities, Labels, and cut through the card to make a frame for the image on the inside. I used some acetate that I had laying around and put it between the layers on the front of the card, that way it doesn't show through the card. I then added some ribbon on the card as the design papers are from Martha Stewart's new Easter collection and only come in 4 x 6". That was a tiny bit small for my card. I covered the seam of the two papers on the front with co-ordinating Papertrey ribbon. I sewed down the papers to fit in with the Magnolia Down Under Challenge of Stitching, Real or Fake. I added on my little Tilda holding her lamb, colored in copics. At the top of the front of the card I added some decorative corner cut outs and put Martha Stewart flowers on top to match the sketch from Just Magnolia. Here's there sketch:
Magnolia-licious is looking for cards with acetate on them, so the window on my card was so it would fit that challenge. Finally fussy and Fancy Fridays is looking for Easter cards. So my card was made for 4 challenges.
On the inside of my card I used an Easter scene I purchased from Magnolia, colored to match Tilda. I layered some Martha Stewart Easter paper over the stamped scene, added tons of glitter and more Papertrey ribbon to match the front of the card. My sentiment is the fabulous sentiment from Stamping Bella that Emily made for me. It is now for sale and you can get one before Easter.

Stamptacular Sunday Challenge - Flower Power

This week at Stamptacular Sunday Challenge we are looking for cards or projects with tons of flowers. They must be bright and cheery spring colors. For my project I created a watering can. I used yellow cardstock for the can. I followed a template that you can access here: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/wateringcan/.
Heli has a beautiful tutorial for making it.
For my stamped image I used the Lockhart Mini Stamp - Front Porch Flowers. I colored it with my copics and added some pearls around the scalloped Nestability.

For my flowers I used Jillibean paper from the Egg Drop Soup Collection. I cut strips of different heights. 12" x 1", 12" x 1/2 ", 12 " x 3/4". I then used my score pal and scored every 1/2 inch. I folded it like an accordian. I glued the two ends together, then there's the tough part. You flip the circle so that it is laying flat on it's side. I already have a pre-glued circle waiting. When it is flipped successfully, I add it onto the circle and prop a weight on it until it's dry. When dry I added some different flower centers. Some are buttons, and a brad. On some of the edges I cut triangles out, and on others I used Martha Stewart edge punches. I had tons of fun making this one. It was fun trying so come out of the box for this one.

The Sweet Stop - Fuzzy Wuzzy/Magnolia-licious/March DT Sketch/Magnolia Stamp Lovers-#6 Die Cuts

Happy Tuesday everyone. I have been busy this week catching up. I am now officially 3 challenges ahead for my DT position at Stamptacular Sunday Challenge!! Yeah, now some free time to enter a few challenges this week. So much fun. I am coloring up these Easter Tildas, like there's no tomorrow. Still have tons more to color, but there's still time until Easter. This card is for my 19 year old daughter, yep, the cruise girl, for Easter. I was able to fit it into 2 challenges.

The Sweet Stop has a sketch this week, with a twist. The twist is to have something fuzzy and wuzzy on your card. Here's the sketch:

What I did for my card was I added white fun flock to my bunny Tilda, and on my chicken Tilda, I added cream colored flower soft. It looked more like feathers. The paper is Making Memories an Easter line from last year. I added my baby blue polka dot Papertrey ribbon, some Magnolia flowers and some of my new Magnolia beads. My sentiment is my own printed off my computer.
At Magnolia-licious they also have a sketch which was almost the same as The Sweet Stop. When I inverted the design, I could make my card fit both. Here's Magnolia-licious sketch.

Over at Magnolia Stamp Lovers their challenge this fortnight is to make a card using a die cut. My card fits that challenge also.

I really enjoyed making this card. It was fun to fuzz up the bunny and the chicken. We have some great weather going on here, but my friend Christine from dol creations keeps threatening snow on Monday. Hope she's wrong.

Curious Little Challenge Blog - Who R U? / Just Magnolia - Easel Cake

Well today a little package arrived in the mail. I have been desperately awaiting my Easter Collection from Magnolia. I had also ordered these jewels in every color, and had to incorporate them into this card, so these are the blue jewels from Magnolia. They are tear drop shape and in all sorts of colors, and they are stunning, so you'll be seeing lots of them on the cards for the next bit, lol.

Well at The Curious Little Challenge Blog they are celebrating Chapter 5 of Alice in Wonderland with a Whooooooo Rrrrrrrrrr Uuuuuu challenge by the Caterpillar. I decided to try something a little different. I took my Magnolia stamp "Chasing Butterflies" and stamped her not getting any ink on her pockets on the apron and the polka dots on the apron. I colored her in Alice colors. Then came the hard part. I didn't have a single caterpillar stamp. I did have a mini brass embossing plate with a tiny caterpillar on it, and I tried sponging it. It didn't turn out too great, so I added mini buttons over top to make my caterpillar. I punched my butterfly out with 2 Martha Stewart punches and added rhinestones down the middle for the body. I added some Kaiser Craft - Airy Fairy paper, Papertrey ribbon with a nice bow, and the new Magnolia jewels.

I decided to make it into an Easel card for Just Magnolia's challenge this week. To prop it up I cut out some mauve cardstock with my picket fence Martha Stewart boarder punch. I added mini flowers with another Martha punch, and put rhinestones in the middle of the flowers. To finish it off I used 2 sentiments. The smaller one on the outside of the card is from MSE, and the inner verse is from Cornish Heritage Farms - Friendship Collection.

Friday Sketchers #94/ Stamp With Fun # 51 Easter

Wow, too many posts for me today. I had come across a package of shaker domes in a little store in Barrie, Ontario that were for Flower Soft cards. I do have tons of flower soft, but this time wanted to do a shaker card for my little girl for Easter. I used the fabulous design from Friday Sketchers below:
The design is from the amazingly talented Claudia Rosa. Also over at Stamp With Fun they are looking for Easter Cards. For my card I used the Stamping Bella darling Izzie is a Bunny. I used Making Memories Flower Patch paper. It is so Eastery. I bought it last year, so I'm not too sure if it's still available this year. It is darling for Easter. I added a boarder with my Martha Stewart Lacy punch and placed some peach ribbon from Paper Trey on top. The flowers are from Cute Stamp and Card's webshop. Jacqueline and Gertjan are fabulous and will send product all over the world. Definately worth shopping there. I added some pearls from the wedding section at Michaels to finish it up. The sentiment "Hippity, Hoppity, Happity Easter" was made for me at Stamping Bella. Emily loved it and put it into a stamp. You can pop over there and purchase one for you card. Hope you are having a warm weekend somewhere in the world because it has gotten cool again here in Canada. Let's hope for a warm week.

Stamptacular Sunday Challenge - Scene It

This week at Stamptacular Sunday Challenge we have a fun challenge. It's called Scene It. What that means is that you have to create your own scene. Try some fun techniques like, masking, 3D, etc. I decided to try my hand at a 3D scene. I stamped my little images from my favorite stamping store Stamping Bella. They are Izzie has a Daisy, and Izzie has Balloons. Aren't they just darling. They reminded me of my 2 girls. The older one was always bringing me home flowers picked from everyone else's gardens, and my little one always had to have a balloon when we went shopping. I popped them out by attaching them with cardstock, and also attached the grass, cut out with my Martha Stewart grass punch. To creat the scene behind, I just added 2 pieces of green cardstock, curved to look like small hills, sponged the sky, and stamped the trees with a Close To My Heart tree stamp. (Sorry, I borrowed it and didn't write down the name.) I added that to the back and gave it a hilly background look. I used my Nook & Pantry paper collection from Basic Grey. (God I love their papers). I added little chickens, punched out of yellow Bazzill card stock and my Martha Stewart punch. I colored of course with my copics.

Crazy 4 Challenges - A Man Thing

This week over at Crazy 4 Challenges they are looking for a masculine card. I always struggle with these, but since I've gotten this little darling from hAnglar & stAnglar I don't struggle too much. I did this card for my son Chase who will turn 18 on April 3rd. That is also Easter weekend here in Canada. So Chase will have a 4 day birthday weekend. I usually have his birthday on the first weekend, Easter on the 2nd weekend, then his brother's on the 3rd weekend, but I'm killing 2 birds with one stone this year. I have the birthday sentiment inside, but this will be from his brother to him. I used my new mini deck from Cosmo Cricket called Garden Variety. I've had this little guy colored for some time, just waiting for the right paper to match him, and this paper pack worked out fine.

I cut a strip and used my picket fence boarder punch from Martha Stewart. I added my red polka dot ribbon from Papertrey and hung a trowel charm from Stamping Bella. The sentiment is also from Stamping Bella.

Curious Little Challenge Blog - Chapter 4 Picturing Wonderland

I found this little blog the other day that I fell in love with. It is all about Alice in Wonderland. Oh how I love Alice. Here's a picture of my little Alice when we were in Disney a couple of years ago.

I used one of the new Spesch Digital Images. They are designs from Tracey Feeger. Fantastic Wonderland Characters, I had to have them all. For my card I used some scraps I had laying around and some BoBunny dots paper. I used my Martha Stewart edge punch to finish the edges and a Martha Stewart Daisy. I also added a little bling and some baubbles to my sentiment, which I printed from Alice quotes. I colored her with my Copics and cut her out with my new scallop large oval Nestibilities. Hope you love her.

Stamptacular Sunday Challenge - A Sketch

This week at Stamptacular Sunday Challenge we have an easy peasy sketch. Everyone loves a sketch. For mine I used my little Tilda from the Valentine collection. I used an old fence stamp from Magnolia as well. I colored with my Copics, and created the clouds on the background with inks.
I used my basic grey pattern paper - Origin. It has such great greens and yellows. My daughter's favorite color is green, and as I told you last week, I went on a cruise with her for her 19th birthday. We celebrated with some cake and a couple small gifts as the cruise was her present for her next 40 birthdays, LOL. Just kidding. My sentiment is from My Sentiments Exactly. This is Sarah's birthday card from Mom and Dad.
Our prize this week is from our very own Aud Kirsten. This is what she donated:A beautiful stamp and some Bling!!!

Stamptacular Sunday Challenge - You Me and Baby Makes 3

At Stamptacular Sunday Challenge this week we are looking for a baby project. Maybe a shower gift, or decoration for a shower. For my project I decided to make a baby shower gift. I headed to my local Dollarama and bought a pair of jammies, a bib, a burp pad, some wash clothes and a blanket. I used my Close To My Heart baby stamp, but I'm not sure the name. I stamped with Staz On green ink the 3 ducks. You have to be very careful to only get ink on the image as you can see if you zoom in on mine, but this was a practice run for me, lol. I only stamped the little duck on the edge of the sleeve and cuff of the pant, to match them up. I made the matching card by using my Swiss Dots Cuttlebug folder and adding on some shear yellow polka dot ribbon. Our prize this week is from:
